While the human race is facing the toughest time dealing with a worldwide lockdown, our Mother Earth is healing and reinstating herself. Amid the coronavirus pandemic, while each one of us is hoping for a better and brighter future Bollywood celebrities did not forget their social responsibility. But we sometimes miss the point, we sometimes pretend that their home is just their residence, but that’s not true. our planet is also our home.There are few things that I have done with my kids at a very young age apart from the emotional encouragement that one has to always give them about making sure that they don’t fall into stereotypes. The other thing that I do is I tell them about plastic, single use plastic and about how it’s important not to consume single use plastic, because you know that it’s a big deterrent to our planet and we must be very careful. So, say no to plastic is the one thing that I’ve been actually inculcating within their sensibility”

“Apart from all the other conscious work that we are doing, I also pledge that we continue buying wooden toys for our daughter Mehr, try and keep her away from plastic toys as much as we can. And more importantly we are totally open to hand me downs. Mehr has got a lot of friends who are six months or a year older and we believe in hand me down toys, clothes, books, all of it. It’s great on the pocket and more importantly it’s very good for the environment. We are doing our little bit and I think you guys should do yours too just so that our planet can accommodate our beautiful children in the future”, added Neha Dhupia.

Soha Ali Khan also said, “I pledge to use a reusable water bottle with me every time I step out of the house instead of buying plastic bottles because I care about the future of our children and our grandchildren on our planet”

Jaiswal Youth Federation (JYF) in association with Saraswati Devi Charitable Trust (SDCT) & with the support of its Trustees Sandipji & Rajdipji Gupta formed ‘Jaiswal Corona Task Team’ to serve more than 5,000 needy families in the wake of noble COVID – 19 pandemic outbreak. In an aim to provide groceries to the needy families, trust members joined hands with several other groups for this noble cause and volunteered wholeheartedly in the hour of need during this pandemic. Together, they successfully served 5,000 plus needy families around Mumbai, Thane & nearby suburbs such as Boisar, Dahanu and Alibaug.

CA Ramanand Gupta, President (JYF) said, “I feel proud to say that our JYF CORONA TASK TEAM proved to be the ‘Real Warriors’ under the guidance & supervision of our executive directors Ramashray Jaiswal & Sanjay Gupta along with Shambhoonath Gupta. I am thankful to all the members of JYF, Individuals, volunteers & donors for directly or indirectly supporting this noble task,” adding, “A heartfelt thanks to Rajdipji & Sandipji Gupta for being the mentor, motivator and our guiding light since inception and especially during this hour of need by being our prime advisors and a great support pillar.”

Rajdip Gupta, Trustee, Saraswati Devi Charitable Trust said, “It is our duty to stand up and do whatever we can to ensure we support the needy ones during emergencies. Charity indeed begins at home. The JYF has supported 1,000 families whereas we have supported more than 3,500 needy people. ”

All the communications between different federations were carried out digitally. The on-ground activities of distributing groceries were undertaken by maintaining social distance, wearing a mask and taking all the right precautions. Great enthusiasm and active support was received from volunteers like ShriPrakash Gupta, Kanchan Jaiswal, Virendra Jaiswal, Sangita Jaiswal, Rajesh Jaiswal, Ashu Jaiswal, Ramvilash Gupta, Pradeep Jaiswal, Rahul Jaiswal , Prashant Jaiswal, Sumeet Jaiswal, Bina Jaiswal, Manoj Gupta, Vishwanath Kalwar, Sachin Gupta, Anil Jaiswal, Santosh Gupta, & so on… among others who dedicated worked to make this a successful initiative. कोरोना के खिलाफ जंग लड़ता योद्धा संदीप यादव एव साथी।

जिस वक्त से पूरा विश्व कोरोना नामक महामारी का शिकार हुए है, भारत देश भी इससे अछूता नहीं रह, परंतु इस विषम परिस्थितियों में कोरोना से जंग लड़ने के लिए कई वीर योद्धा मैदान में कूद पड़े।

संदीप यादव (भा ज यू मो, BJYM मुम्बई नार्थ वेस्ट के वाईस प्रेसिडेंट) ऐसे ही एक जबरदस्त योद्धा है, वे शान्तनु अगस्ति (भा ज यू मो BJYM नार्थ वेस्ट मुम्बई के प्रेसिडेंट), के सहयोग से जरूरतमंदों को राशन वितरण कर रहे हैं।

स्वयम संदीप यादव ने लोखंडवाला, वर्सोवा के शास्त्री नगर के कई बिल्डिंगों में एवं सात बंगला म्हाडा के कई सोसाइटी और स्कूलों में अपने सहायको के साथ सेनिटाइजर का छिड़काव कर रहे हैं।

इस आपदा की घड़ी में, मैं हर हिंदुस्तानी का आवाहन करता हूँ, की वह किसी भी पार्टी का हो, किसी भी धर्म का हो, किसी भी नस्ल का हो, सब भूल कर सिर्फ इंसानियत को ध्यान रखे, विश्वास रखे हम कोरोना से जंग अवश्य जीतेंगे और हमारे प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी इस देश को पुनः सफलता की ऊँचाई पर ले जाएंगे।

The Indian wing of US-based solar solutions provider Suntuity Group, Suntuity Renewable Energy India (REI), has said the Coronavirus pandemic is a wake-up call for the Government of India and it should focus more on giving tax benefits to people than subsidies. “If you really want to try to incentivise people to go solar than you have to incentivise them by giving tax benefits,” said Imaan Javan, Director of operations at Suntuity REI.

Javan further said when people see tax benefits in something, they tend to move towards that direction to save up on taxes. “Solar used to have subsidies across the board but now subsidies are only limited to residential projects. And these projects are not that large in numbers. I am not saying to give them subsidies, but you can give them some tax breaks or something similar,” she said, adding, “Like in the USA they have 26% flat ITC (investment tax credit) across the entire country (which was 30% for a long time earlier) no matter which state you are in and they have different benefits for the state and benefits from the states. Over here we don’t see it like that.”

The Government of India aims to reach a renewable energy capacity of 175 GW by 2022 and then 500 GW after that. “In order to be able to achieve that, the government needs to determine how they would help people. Tax benefits would be beneficial for the common man as well as the industry,” Javan said.

– Celebrities read children’s books, spreading warmth and supporting child rights charity

New Delhi, 2 April: As the world adapts to limitations imposed by the lockdown, there has been myriad new material made available for children. Swamping the cyber space with creative ways to keep children engaged, the online cultural race has shifted to another, less likely target: the humble children’s story.

Dia Mirza, Bollywood Actress and Artist Ambassador, Save the Children, and Soha Ali Khan joined Hollywood celebrities Jennifer Garner and Amy Adams on social media in telling the world their favourite children’s story through #SaveWithStories. Other Bollywood celebrities are soon catching up in support of the child rights organisation that works for the most vulnerable children and marginalized communities, to bring some levity during the ongoing national lockdown, as experts extol the importance of regular routines for children.

Coronavirus Lockdown: Many people are still not taking the lockdown seriously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted this morning. He also urged states to ensure that the directives are followed by people.

The government today ordered states to “strictly enforce lockdown” and asked for legal action against those who violated the restriction, a day after 80 districts across the country were brought under a shutdown to check the spread of coronavirus, which has infected more than 400 people.

Many people are still not taking the lockdown seriously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted this morning. He also urged states to ensure that the directives are followed by people.

“Many people are still not taking the lockdown seriously. Please save yourself, save your family, follow the directives seriously. I request the state governments to ensure that the rules and laws are followed,” the Prime Minister tweeted in Hindi.

Soon after, a government notice took on a tougher tone, warning of legal action against violators.
