Mumbai, October 15, 2025. The muhurat of “Daanv,” the second home production of award-winning Dr. Krishna Chouhan as producer and director, took place today at Kumar Sanu’s Spice Studios in Mumbai. Produced under the banner of Krishna Chouhan Productions, the thriller film “Daav” is produced by Dr. Krishna Chouhan and Anil Singh, with co-producer Dilip Patel. It is directed by Krishna Chouhan.

A song was recorded in the voices of Deepa Narayan Jha and Tarannum Malik, with music composed by Dilip Sen and lyricist Vicky Nagar. Guests included Dilip Sen, Deepa Narayan Jha, Tarannum Malik, Ramesh Goyal, and producer Anil Singh. Praveen Wadkar, the lead actor of the film “Daanv,” was also present at the muhurat.

Producer Anil Singh is collaborating with Dr. Krishna Chouhan for the first time.

Anil Singh is very excited about this film, which is his first as a producer. He praised Dr. Krishna Chouhan and also praised Dilip Sen, Deepa Narayan Jha, and Tarannum Malik.

This will be Krishna Chouhan’s second film after Atma.com. Several celebrities were present at the muhurat ceremony of Daav.

On this occasion, producer-director Dr. Krishna Chouhan said, “I am grateful to all the guests who attended the muhurat ceremony of the thriller film Daav. More songs will be recorded soon, and we will begin shooting as soon as possible.”

भोजपुरी फिल्म निर्माता रत्नाकर कुमार और निर्देशक अनंजय रघुराज ने नई भोजपुरी फिल्म ‘उमा’ का फर्स्ट लुक सोशल मीडिया में जारी हो चुका है। इस फ़िल्म में केंद्रीय भूमिका में भोजपुरी सिनेमा की बेस्ट एक्ट्रेस माही श्रीवास्तव हैं, जिन्होंने टाइटल रोल निभाया है। वह फर्स्ट लुक के पोस्टर गाँव की साधारण परिवेश में पली बढ़ी लड़की के लुक में नजर आ रही हैं। उनके साथ एक्टर रितेश उपाध्याय बैठे हुए सिंपल विलेज ब्वॉय के रूप में दिख रहे हैं। पोस्टर में एक पुराना लालटेन जलता हुआ दिख रहा है। इस फिल्म का फर्स्ट लुक देखकर लग रहा है कि देश-विदेश में बहुत सारा अवार्ड जीतने वाली फिल्म जया का रिकॉर्ड तोड़ेगी।

UJJAL” — A Radiant Confluence of Painting & Sculpture

The group show “UJJAL” displays paintings and sculptures by six contemporary Indian artists: Bappa Maji, Pravat Manna, Subrata Paul, Sudeshna Sil, Sudip Biswas, and Tanmoy Hazra.

“UJJAL” (meaning bright, luminous) draws viewers into a deep conversation with form, colour, memory, myth, and nature. These six artists, regardless of their fields, combine tradition and novelty, the physical and the lyrical, the individual and the general.

This show was inaugurated on 14th October 2025 by Mr. Brahmanand S. Singh(National Award Winning Filmmaker, Author & Mentor)

Bappa Maji of Kolkata sculpts sacred and animal forms using the Bengal Dokra tradition. He reinterprets mythological Vahanas in new materials. His art considers humans, animals, myth, and daily life, prompting viewers to feel respect and think.

Pravat Manna uses paint to change the canvas into a landscape of feelings, using oil, acrylic, and mixed media. Through layered compositions, he explores memory, identity, and humanity, using technical skill and personal symbolism.

Active since the late 1990s, Subrata Paul sculpts, often with bronze and wood, moving beyond mere replication to reveal the hidden energies of form. His sculptures communicate human feelings and interactions, using both old and new artistic methods.

Sudeshna Sil’s work reflects her sensitivity, influenced by Bengal’s nature and art training. Through watercolour, mixed media, and fabric, she portrays nature’s depth, offering escape from city life.

Sudip Biswas, a notable modern Indian painter, creates stories of quiet feelings, cultural remembrance, and tradition. Benaras and the Ganga influence his paintings, which combine abstraction and figuration. His recent awards highlight the impact of his work.

The exhibition also includes Tanmoy Hazra’s work, which is characterised by its expressive and innovative qualities and engagement with diverse materials, form, context, and meaning.

The six artists engage in a complex dialogue, rich with layers of myth and matter.

“UJJAL” presents a unique mix of artists, allowing art lovers to dive into modern Indian visuals that are both classic and forward-looking. We welcome everyone to experience these artworks at Jehangir Art Gallery.

जब डोम एसवीपी स्टेडियम की सुनहरी रोशनी शाम की नर्म हवा में घुली, तो बहार-ए-उर्दू 2025 का अंतिम अध्याय खुला — और इसके साथ ही मनाया गया महाराष्ट्र उर्दू साहित्य अकादमी के 50 सुनहरे वर्ष। यह शाम थी शब्दों, शायरी, सुरों और एहसास की — जिसने मुंबई को उर्दू की खुशबू में डुबो दिया।

दिन की शुरुआत हुई जोश और जज़्बे से भरे इंटर-कॉलेजिएट बैतबाज़ी मुकाबले से, जहाँ महाराष्ट्र के विभिन्न कॉलेजों के नौजवान शायरों ने उर्दू के अदीबों को अपने अल्फ़ाज़ से सलाम किया। मेज़बान शमिम इक़बाल मोमिन और मुख़लिस माडू ने इस मुशायरे को ऐसी रवानी दी कि लगा — उर्दू की रूह आज भी इन दिलों में ज़िंदा है।

इसके बाद मंच सजा इक़बाल नियाज़ी के नाट्य प्रस्तुति ज़मीन का एक टुकड़ा के लिए — एक ऐसी कहानी जिसने इंसानियत, दर्द और अपनेपन की दास्तां को संवेदनशीलता से पिरोया।

फिर मुस्कुराहटों की बारी आई, जब हास्य कवि कलीम समर ने अपनी ज़ुबान की नर्मी और लफ़्ज़ों की चमक से सबको हंसी में डुबो दिया। मोनिका सिंह, अतिरिक्त कलेक्टर, सोलापुर, ने अपने अशआर से शाम में नज़ाकत और नूर दोनों भर दिए।

और फिर — हवा में ख़ामोशी उतर आई।

अनूप जलोटा, सुरों के बादशाह, मंच पर आए।

हर ग़ज़ल, हर आलाप के साथ उन्होंने डोम को भक्ति, मोहब्बत और यादों के समुंदर में बदल दिया।

उन्होंने उर्दू की रूह को यूँ बयान किया  — “उर्दू कोई ज़ुबान नहीं, वो साँस है जो दिल के गाने के साथ चलती है।”

इसके बाद शेखर सुमन और प्रिया मलिक की मेज़बानी में हुआ अवार्ड सेरेमनी, जहाँ उर्दू के कवियों, शिक्षकों, पत्रकारों और लेखकों को उनके अद्वितीय योगदान के लिए सम्मानित किया गया। हर अवार्ड, उर्दू की आधी सदी की मेहनत और मुहब्बत को सलाम था।

अंत में शबाब सबरी की क़व्वाली ने डोम एसवीपी स्टेडियम को इबादतगाह में बदल दिया — जहाँ सुर दुआ बन गए, ताल सजदा बन गई, और उर्दू फिर अमर हो गई।

जब राष्ट्रगान की गूंज फैली और परदे गिरे, तो बहार-ए-उर्दू अपने पीछे सिर्फ़ तालियाँ नहीं छोड़ गया —

वो छोड़ गया एक वादा।

एक वादा कि उर्दू मुंबई की रगों में बहती रहेगी,

हर शायर की साँस में गूँजती रहेगी,

और हर बार फिर जन्म लेगी — जब भी कोई नया शेर लिखा जाएगा।

As the golden lights shimmered inside Dome SVP Stadium, the grand finale of Bahar-E-Urdu 2025 unfolded — marking 50 glorious years of the Maharashtra Urdu Sahitya Academy. The evening was a breathtaking celebration of words, wit, and the warmth of a language that continues to define India’s cultural conscience.

The day began with youthful exuberance at the Inter-Collegiate Bait Baazi, where young poets from across Maharashtra paid tribute to the legends of Urdu through verses that sang of love, longing, and laughter. Hosted by Shamim Iqbal Momin and Mukhlis Madoo, the competition proved that Urdu’s legacy rests safe in the hands — and hearts — of the next generation.

A poignant theatrical presentation, Zameen Ka Ek Tukda by Iqbal Niyazi, followed — its narrative laced with emotion, echoing themes of belonging and humanity.

Laughter found its moment through Hasya Kavi Kaleem Samar, whose humour shone with linguistic brilliance, while Monika Singh, Additional Collector, Solapur, lent grace and gravitas with her evocative shayari.

And then came the night’s divine crescendo.

Anup Jalota, the maestro of melody, took the stage — and with each ghazal, filled the Dome with reverence and nostalgia. His voice was a bridge between the classical and the contemporary, between devotion and desire. Reflecting on Urdu’s essence, he said, “Urdu is not a language you speak — it is the breath you take when your heart begins to sing.”

The celebrations deepened with the Awards Ceremony, hosted by Shekhar Suman and Priya Malik, honouring poets, teachers, journalists, and authors whose words have shaped the course of Urdu literature. Each award was not just a recognition — it was a bow to fifty years of commitment to culture and creativity.

Finally, Shabab Sabri’s powerful Qawwali resonated the Dome, adding the electrifying cresendo to the charged ambience.

And a the National Anthem played and the curtains descended, Bahar-E-Urdu left behind more than applause — it left behind a promise.

A promise that Urdu will continue to breathe through Mumbai’s veins, whisper through its poets, and rise once again — every time a verse is born.

“Visthapan” Solo Show of Recent Work by Vishwa Sahni in Jehangir Art Gallery, Kala Ghoda, Mumbai from 14^th to 20^th October 2025

This show was inaugurated on 14th October 2025 by Ms. Manju Ramesh Chouhan(Staff member of Jehangir Art Gallery) in the presence of Mr. Padmanabh Bendre(Eminent Artist), Pradeep Chandra(Eminent Photographer & Author), Mr. Uttam Jain(Patron Hindustan Chamber of Commerce), Mr. Snehal N. Muzoomdar(President, Indian Musicological Society), Mr. K.K. Tated(Chairman, committee to monitor Animal Welfare) among others.

Vishwa Sahni’s painting seems to have been focused for some time on the contention that abstraction, if allowed to breathe in a deeper pictorial space, can maintain visual opulence without drifting too far from its essentially two-dimensional syntax. Among a generation of artists who matured on this side of painting’s pluralist expansion, where each painter’s style, look and touch was far more varied than that of their predecessors, Sahni held to a firm figurative scaffold based on migration both perceived and imagined. Though the iconography in this recent work remains readable each painting’s horizon is still easy to find, there is in newer panels a softening of the edges and a swelling of forms that now shimmer behind translucent washes instead of bending, as they once did, into each other’s space. From an optimal distance coerced from the viewer by the five feet by nine feet spread of their frames their reconfigured cohesion seems to rely less on drawing and more on a spontaneous manipulation of hue and texture.

The resulting airiness is a clear departure from his earlier work, which is reprised in this exhibition, an example of his harder-edged shapes, apparently reconstituted during the painting’s many stages of development so as not to diminish the careful coordinating of its unique structural invention. To drift from the success of this method is risky, for what’s been so appealing about Sahni’s work until now has been precisely its interconnected complexity. The changes seen in this exhibition may be attributed in some measure to his establishing a studio in Mumbai, a move from country life in Madanpur, for reasons linked to the landscape itself, resetting a painter’s perspective.

A clue to the path taken in this shift between the earlier compositions and these newer, cloudier apparitions may be found in seven-foot square painting representing the artist’s trials at keeping the structure fixed tighter to the surface. Here, a familiarity with Sahni’s elevated horizon line helps the viewer read the ghost of a landscape that still exists despite the missing diagonals and story-book trees of his earlier work, elements that had once supported the artist’s penchant for excavating spatial illusion with little cost to a lively surface. Visthapan marks the change as its simplified shapes are not immediately recognizable as landscape elements. They also seem unusually tolerant of each other’s position in the composition.

And yet to my eye the most adventurous of the newer canvases in the show, still owes something to the lexicon of the earlier work, though here it seems Sahni’s method has turned to a new and pronounced improvisation. Visthapan’s surface remains in a perturbed state. Edges are ragged and makeshift. Translucency dominates. There is even a gestural coarseness replacing what was once a controlled chaos of endlessly suggestive shapes. The color alone in Visthapan provides the link to earlier work, being mostly middle tones of contingent primary and secondary hues.

For anyone who has followed Sahni’s work these many years, an effort to catch up to where he is now will require diligence, which I believe is a fair expectation for him to make as his paintings have always appealed to a visually smart audience. Because his abundant inventiveness had constituted as near a legible pictorial language as created by any painter in recent memory, encountering its contraction will demand a real and unavoidable learning curve. Sahni is a painter whose strength had always been his ability to develop variations on a theme. The construction of an intelligent, readable and teasingly ambiguous pictorial image, still speaks to a continuity of vision.

Sahni has never been a painter fixated on concocting a new look, and there is no indication here of chasing novelty, nor is there any hint of applying arbitrary effects to avoid comparison with contemporaries. From the beginning his work has been a conscious adaptation of migrant landscape elements knit tightly into compositions that owed a great deal of their cohesion to those compositional properties that as any instructor knows are maddeningly difficult to formulate verbally but can be appreciated in its many variations. As galleries continue to hawk brightly colored things apparently meant for the simpler aim of accessorizing the expansive blank walls that once provided inexpensive working space for artists, it gives one hope to watch a painter keep to self-imposed limitations, not in spite of, but because there is more than enough room within a rectangle of canvas to address a thoughtful and historically aware sensibility.

फिल्मजायंट्स ग्लोबल अवार्ड्स का तीसरा संस्करण 14 अक्टूबर 2025 को नई दिल्ली के प्रतिष्ठित होटल ले मेरिडियन में आयोजित किया गया, जो एक भव्य और यादगार संध्या रही। इस आयोजन में विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में उत्कृष्ट योगदान देने वाली हस्तियों को सम्मानित किया गया। यह एक सितारों से सजी शाम थी, जिसमें कई प्रमुख सेलिब्रिटी, राजनेता और गणमान्य व्यक्ति उपस्थित रहे।

इस समारोह में हिमाचल प्रदेश के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री शिव प्रताप शुक्ल मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित रहे, जिनकी उपस्थिति ने इस कार्यक्रम की गरिमा को और बढ़ा दिया। इस आयोजन का सफल संचालन बॉलीवुड अभिनेता और निर्माता राजवीर शर्मा और पारस मेहता ने किया।

इस अवसर पर कई नामचीन हस्तियों ने रेड कारपेट पर अपनी उपस्थिति दर्ज कराई। बॉलीवुड अभिनेत्री दिव्या खोसला इस समारोह की मुख्य आकर्षण रहीं। इनके अलावा अभिनेता दर्शन कुमार, अभिनेत्री जन्नत जुबैर, रीवा अरोड़ा, अयान जुबैर, अर्हान खान, शाद मलिक, पंजाबी अभिनेत्री माहिरा शर्मा, जगत गौतम सहित कई फिल्मी सितारों ने कार्यक्रम की शोभा बढ़ाई।

संगीत जगत से भी कई लोकप्रिय कलाकार मंच पर नजर आए, जिनमें गगन कोकरी, अभिनय देवांश, राजा कुमार, निर्माता गुरप्रीत खेतला, फिल्म निर्देशक फरहाद सामजी और गायक काजी तौकीर शामिल रहे।

कार्यक्रम में मौजूद प्रत्येक सेलिब्रिटी को उनके क्षेत्र में किए गए उत्कृष्ट कार्यों के लिए फिल्मजायंट्स ग्लोबल अवार्ड से नवाजा गया। पुरस्कारों का वितरण स्वयं माननीय राज्यपाल द्वारा किया गया।
