The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has withdrawn its earlier public notice dated 24 July 2023, which had exempted weddings and related functions from paying music licensing fees. The withdrawal comes in light of ongoing appeals concerning music copyright rights in the case of Novex Communications Pvt. Ltd. vs. Union of India, currently pending before the Punjab & Haryana High Court.

With the old notice now withdrawn, the copyright enforcement rights of Novex Communications stand reaffirmed. This means that all marriage-related ceremonies and celebrations — including sangeet, receptions, DJ nights, and cocktail parties — once again require a valid music license from the copyright holder, Novex Communications.

Event venues, planners, organizers, and families hosting such functions must therefore obtain the appropriate Novex Copyright License for any musical event involving sound recordings. Failure to comply may lead to infringement actions, including injunctions, financial damages, or even criminal liability.

Novex Communications is the exclusive licensing body authorized by several major Indian and Bollywood music labels, representing nearly 75% of India’s leading entertainment music catalogue. Their partners include Saregama/HMV, Yash Raj Music, Zee Music, Tips, Shemaroo, Red Ribbon, among others.

नई दिल्ली, 22 दिसंबर 2025. विश्व उस समय एक ऐतिहासिक सांस्कृतिक क्षण का साक्षी बना जब प्रथम विश्व सारंगी दिवस 2025 का आयोजन त्रिवेणी कला संगम, नई दिल्ली मे किया गया। यह आयोजन भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत के महान स्तंभ, सारंगी सम्राट उस्ताद साबरी ख़ान साहब की स्मृति को समर्पित किया गया, जिन्होंने सारंगी को न केवल शिखर तक पहुँचाया बल्कि उसे भारत की आत्मा की आवाज़ बनाया।

उस्ताद साबरी ख़ान साहब का स्वतंत्र भारत के इतिहास में एक विशिष्ट और गौरवपूर्ण स्थान है। 15 अगस्त 1947 की मध्यरात्रि, जब भारत ने स्वतंत्रता प्राप्त की, उस ऐतिहासिक क्षण पर उन्होंने सारंगी पर “वंदे मातरम्” की प्रस्तुति दी जिसने सारंगी के माध्यम से राष्ट्र की आत्मा को स्वर प्रदान किया। यह क्षण न केवल कलात्मक बल्कि ऐतिहासिक दृष्टि से भी अद्वितीय था।

The 27th Mumbai Awards Night and Fashion Show, organized by Mumbai Global, was held in a grand and dignified atmosphere at the prestigious Elite Banquet Hall in Mumbai. This mega event was organized by Rajkumar Tiwari, CEO of Mumbai Global newspaper, and was attended by numerous renowned personalities from the film, television, music, fashion, media, social service, and business sectors.

The event was managed by Puneet R. Khare (Owner of Mayuri Media Works), while Vaibhav Sharma hosted the ceremony with impressive flair. Senior journalist Chaitanya Padukone, actor Raju Tonk, and social worker, actor, and producer Dr. Ajay Sahay were also present at the event.

The high-octane number, released after Zee Music acquired the film’s audio rights, celebrates the power and mystique of the fierce coastal deity Guliga, whose legend has garnered nationwide attention.

Penned by writer-director Sudheer Attavara, the rap-style track blends regional folklore with contemporary musicality. The song is composed by Gopi Sundar, with impactful vocals by Javed Ali and Attavara himself. Sundar has also contributed additional vocal sections, enriching the musical layers of the anthem.

At the heart of the visual spectacle is Soparrkar, who not only choreographed the entire sequence along with his assistant Ashutosh Arya but, also Soparrkar performs the intense and spiritually charged Guliga dance. His portrayal stands out for its raw strength, measured aggression, and the trance-like energy that embodies the deity’s aura.

Sandip Soparrkar said, “Playing Gulliga Daiva in the film Koragajja felt less like a role and more like a sacred responsibility. It allowed me to surrender to a divine energy far greater than myself. I am thankful to my director Sudheer Attavar and producer Trivikram Sapalya as they connected me to the living soul of our folk traditions. I feel blessed and honoured to bring this powerful spirit-form to the screen.”

The song also features actor Sardar Satya as Panjurli, Kabir Bedi and Actress Bhavya adding depth to a crucial narrative moment where Guliga and Panjurli come together to meet Koragajja.

The song’s shoot was an ambitious undertaking. Filmed at Someshwara Beach, Mangaluru, the production deployed two 100-foot cranes and five cameras to capture the grandeur and rhythm of the performance. Despite environmental and logistical hurdles—from unpredictable tides to large-crowd management—producer Thrivikram Sapalya ensured the shoot progressed smoothly, even securing police protection to complete the sequence safely.

Produced by Success Films and Thrivikrama Cinemas, Koragajja is currently in post-production and is gearing up for a January 2026 release.

फ़िल्म निर्माण के क्षेत्र मे उतरी आरुश्री इंटरटेनमेंट की पहली हिंदी फ़िल्म ‘महक’ की शूटिंग आजमगढ़ के विभिन्न लोकेशन पर शुरू हो चुकी है। समेदा गांव मे स्थानीय निवासी व जिला पंचायत सदस्य मुन्ना सिंह समेदा के हाथो फ़िल्म का मुहूर्त क्लेप दिया गया।

महक के निर्देशक हैं धीरज पंडित, जिन्होंने उदय भगत की कहानी को पटकथा और संवाद मे ढाला है। फ़िल्म मे नैना सिंह ‘महक’ के किरदार में है, जबकि राजू सिंह माही उनके पति की भूमिका मे हैं। जाने माने अभिनेता सुशील सिंह का कई रूप इस फ़िल्म मे देखने को मिलेगा।

जिनमें एक स्पोर्ट्समैन से लेकर रिक्शा चालक तक के रूप मे वे नजर आएंगे। आरुश्री एंटरटेनमेंट के उदय भगत ने बताया कि ‘महक’ मानवीय संवेदना को झकझोरने वाली फ़िल्म है, जो नारी सशक्तिकरण पर आधारित है। किस तरह एक अनपढ़ महिला शिक्षा और खेलकूद के महत्त्व को समझते हुए अपनी बेटी को प्रेरित करते हैं।’ उन्होंने आगे बताया कि ‘फ़िल्म का उद्देश्य व्यावसायिक ना होकर सामाजिक चेतना है।

भोजपुरी सिनेमा की स्टार एक्ट्रेस अंजना सिंह और अभिनेता विशाल तिवारी के शानदार अभिनय से सजी भोजपुरी फिल्म ‘शुभ आरती’ की शूटिंग कंप्लीट हो गई है। फिल्म निर्देशक धनंजय तिवारी के निर्देशन में बन रही इस फिल्म के निर्माता मनोज के गुप्ता हैं। इस फिल्म की पूरी शूटिंग उत्तर प्रदेश के जिला भदोही के गोपीगंज के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में की गई है।

गौरतलब है कि भोजपुरी फिल्म ‘शुभ आरती’ की शूटिंग के दौरान फिल्म के निर्देशक धनंजय तिवारी ने ऐतिहासिक कदम उठाते हुए पर शूटिंग के सेट पर कड़ा निर्देश देते हुए सबसे कहा कि ‘भोजपुरी फ़िल्म की शूटिंग के सेट सब लोग भोजपुरी में ही बात करें… जो भी क्रू मेंबर भोजपुरी में बात नहीं करेगा, उसे फाइन देना पड़ेगा।’ इतना ही नहीं उन्होंने कहा कि ‘हम सब भोजपुरी फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में काम करने वाले लोग यूपी और बिहार के रहने वाले हैं और जब हम सब अपने घर वालों से, नात-रिश्तेदार से अपने गांव की भाषा में बात करते हैं तो शूटिंग के सेट पर क्यों ना हम सब अपनी मीठी भाषा भोजपुरी में ही बात करें। क्योंकि हम फिल्म करते हैं भोजपुरी… संवाद बोलते हैं भोजपुरी भाषा में… तो भोजपुरी फिल्म की शूटिंग के सेट पर भी हम लोगों को भोजपुरी में ही बात करनी चाहिए।’

वहीं अभिनेत्री अंजना सिंह ने कहा कि ‘भोजपुरी भाषा के सम्मान के लिए ये बहुत बड़ी क्रांतिकारी पहल है। इससे भोजपुरी फिल्म की शूटिंग के सेट पर हर किसी के बीच एक अपनापन का एहसास होता नजर आया है। इसके लिए हमारे डायरेक्टर धनंजय तिवारी को साधुवाद।’

अभिनेता विशाल तिवारी ने कहा कि ‘ये निर्णय हमारी भोजपुरी फिल्म इंडस्ट्री के लोगों को बहुत पहले ही लेना चाहिए था। खैर निर्देशक धनंजय तिवारी का यह फैसला ‘भोजपुरी में ही बोलल बतियावल जाव’ का मैं सपोर्ट कर रहा हूँ। हम लोग जबसे एक दूसरे से सेट पर भोजपुरी में बात कर रहे हैं तो बहुत अच्छा लग रहा है और अपनापन का एहसास हो रहा है।’

फिल्म ‘शुभ आरती’ के निर्माता मनोज के गुप्ता ने  मुक्तकंठ से धनंजय तिवारी की पहल की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि ‘अरे भइया ई त बड़ अच्छी बात हो गईल, अईसन लागत बा कि हम सब फिलिम के शूटिंग में नाही, बल्कि अपने-अपने घर-परिवार संघे बानी जा…’
