मुम्बई. गायिका शोनाली मिश्रा के जीवन के संघर्ष और बॉलीवुड तक के सफ़र की कहानी कई नई प्रतिभाओं के लिए प्रेरणादायक हो सकती है. उत्तर प्रदेश के कानपुर की निवासी शोनाली मिश्रा ने मेडिकल की पढ़ाई छोड़ कर अपने संगीत के सपनों को चुनने का साहस दिखाया और आज संगीत जगत में चमक रही हैं.

बचपन से ही उनकी रगों में संगीत दौड़ता था। हलांकि, उनके माता-पिता चाहते थे कि वह एक डॉक्टर बनें। उनकी ख़ुशी के लिए सोनाली ने दिन-रात मेहनत की और मेडिकल प्रवेश परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण भी की। लेकिन दिल तो सुरों में बसा था। वो फैसला आसान नहीं था, पर उन्होंने मेडिकल छोड़ कर अपने संगीत के सपनों को चुनने की हिम्मत दिखाई.

जुनून की राह: कानपुर से लखनऊ का सफर

संगीत सीखने का उनका जज्बा ऐसा था कि वह कानपुर से लखनऊ हर रोज 90 किलोमीटर का सफर तय करती थी। ये सिलसिला पूरे 8 साल तक चला, जहां उन्होंने संगीत की बारीकियां सीखीं और अपना कोर्स पूरा किया। इसी दौरन, उन्होंने लाइव परफॉर्मेंस देना शुरू किया, जिसने उनमें एक नया आत्मविश्वास भर दिया।

देश-विदेश में गूंजती आवाज़

धीरे-धीरे शोनाली की प्रस्तुति सिर्फ भारत तक ही सीमित नहीं रही। उन्हें मौका मिला कि वह देश के बाहर भी अपनी गायकी का जादू बिखेरे। उन्होंने इजराइल, सिंगापुर और साउथ अफ्रीका जैसे देशों में लाइव परफॉर्मेंस दी, जहां लोगों ने संगीत के प्रति उनके समर्पण को बहुत सराहा।

मुंबई और बॉलीवुड डेब्यू

उनकी जिंदगी का सबसे बड़ा मोड़ तब आया जब उन्हें मुंबई के मशहूर ‘सिम्फनी शो’ के लिए एक गायिका के तौर पर चुना गया। बस, वहीं से कानपुर से मुंबई तक का उनका सफर शुरू हुआ। एक नए शहर में अपनी पहचान बनाना आसान नहीं था, लेकिन उनकी आवाज ही उनकी ताकत थी। ढेरों स्टूडियो और म्यूजिक डायरेक्टर्स के चक्कर लगाने के बाद, उन्हें बॉलीवुड में अपना पहला ब्रेक मिला। हिन्दी फिल्म ‘बॉम्बे’ के दो गीत गाने का मौका मिला, जिसके कन्नड़ वर्जन में उन्होंने अपनी आवाज दी और एक पार्श्व गायिका के रूप में अपनी जगह बनाई।

भक्ति संगीत में पाई अलग पहचान

संगीत के साथ उन्हें गहरा लगाव उन्हें भक्ति की तरफ भी ले गया। शोनाली ने सारेगामा भक्ति और ऑडियो लैब भक्ति जैसे बड़े चैनल के लिए गाने शुरू कर दिए। आज उनका खुद का एक भक्ति चैनल है, जहां उनके गाने समय-समय पर रिलीज होते रहते हैं।

Deepak Mandalik, an accomplished actor-director from Indore, has carved a unique journey across theater, film, and entrepreneurship through sheer dedication, creativity, and passion. His artistic foundation was laid in Indore, where he became an integral part of Ankur Natya Shikha, a reputed theater group known for nurturing talent and producing meaningful plays. During his early years, Deepak showcased exceptional skills in writing and direction, winning first prize as a writer-director for three consecutive years—an achievement that set the tone for his future.

Under his association with Ankur Natya Shikha, Deepak contributed to seven highly appreciated plays, earning recognition for both his performances and directorial vision. His work did not go unnoticed. Impressed by his talent and creative instincts, renowned director Manmohan Kishan of Noori encouraged him to move to Mumbai and explore larger opportunities in the entertainment industry.

Taking this advice seriously, Deepak shifted to Mumbai, where he continued to expand his theatrical journey. He actively worked in multiple stage productions such as Saiyon Bhaye Kotwal and Kueyon Ki Chori, collaborating with respected artists like Ishrat Ali and Samay Thakker. These experiences enriched his understanding of performance art and strengthened his presence in the theater circuit.

With a strong base in theater, Deepak gradually transitioned into the world of film and advertising. He joined Jyoti Thakur’s Film Media as an Associate Director, where he dedicated six years honing his skills behind the camera.

During this period, he worked on several high-profile advertisement films, gaining hands-on experience in direction, production, and execution.
