Mumbai Turns Mamtamai With Shree Radhe Maa Janmotsav Celebrations

Mumbai, March 4, 2024: Devotees of Mamtamai Shree Radhe Maa gathered in Mumbai at the Kora Kendra Ground in Borivali (West) on Sunday, March 3, to celebrate the sacred Janmotsav of their revered spiritual leader. The occasion was marked by a series of events focusing on devotion, service, and public service initiatives.

The evening commenced with the divine gathering of devotees engaging in the chanting of the holy names of God and soulful bhajans in praise of the Divine Mother Bhagwati. Known for her teachings in the Sanatan Hindu tradition, Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa has been a source of inspiration for devotees for the past three decades, emphasizing the significance of bhakti, worship of Goddess Durga, and service to all beings as manifestations of God.

The grand event was organized by the Shri Radhe Charitable Trust Mumbai and Shri Radhe Charitable Society New Delhi, established by devotees inspired by Shri Radhe Maa’s teachings. These charitable trusts have been actively involved in various philanthropic activities, including donations of essential items such as clothes, food grains, notebooks, computers, sewing machines, wheelchairs, and more to the underprivileged.

Preceding the Janmotsav, a reading of the Holy Sri Sukhmani Sahib Ji was held on March 2. On the auspicious day, families in need received 13 kg bags of essential food items, including wheat flour, salt, sugar, and lentils/daal. The Janmotsav concluded with a Bhajan Sandhya featuring renowned artists such as Ram Shankar, Sanjeev Kohli, Indu Khanna, Masha Ali, G Khan, Peji Shah Koti, Nirmal Thakur, Sneha Shankar, Raj Sagar, Shankar Anuragi, Jaggi Dholi Brothers, and many others, offering musical performances to glorify Sanatan Hindu Dharma.

The event also honored various saints, devotees, sadhus, Sanskrit scholars, and priests from Hindu temples joining in to affirm Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa’s teachings to serve all beings. The day witnessed participation from Shri Radhe Maa’s devotees from around the world, culminating in a community meal (bhandara) that was free and open to all without exception.

Several billboard media companies contributed towards broadcasting the event far and wide, which helped the celebrations attract massive participation in the city with people from all walks of life joining in. The event was streamed live on Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa’s official YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook channels for devotees across the world who could not be present in person for the celebrations.

Several esteemed public figures graced the Mamtamai Radhe Maa Janmotsav celebrations. Among them was Member of Parliament Gopal Shetty. Vidya Thakur, a dedicated Member of the Legislative Assembly. Manisha Tai Chaudhary, another MLA, joined the gathering as did Bina Doshi, a Corporator. MLA Prakash Surve, Corporator Kamlesh Yadav were also in attendance along with Corporator Deepak Tawde also graced the event with his presence.

Acharya Ramchandra Das Ji, the bonafide representative of Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya Ji Maharaj, honored the event by blessing the volunteers for their efforts. Shri. Rajaram Deshmukh, associated with Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Mandir Trust, and the Personal Assistant Of Former CM of Maharashtra Shri Ashok Chavan also paid his respects. Shri Ravindra Chhinda Ji, the Principal Pujari at Maa Chintpurni Mandir was also present at the venue in person to participate in the devotional rituals.

The massive event was well-supported by senior administrative officers, municipal officials, the fire brigade, public health officials who kept an ambulance on standby, and Senior Police Officers from the Borivali Police Station who ensured that the event, which was attended by thousands of devotees from all corners of Mumbai and the world, ran smoothly according to plan. The entire event was broadcast live across the globe on Shri Radhe Maa Ji’s official YouTube channel and on Sadhna TV.
