In a dynamic press conference held today, the Film and Television Promotion Council of India (FTPC INDIA) proudly unveiled two major initiatives set to leave a lasting impact on Indian cinema: the highly anticipated film Mumbai Blues and the first-ever FTPC INDIA Mumbai New Talent Film Awards 2025.

Produced by SURAJ SINGH MAS & CHAITANYA JANGA, Mumbai Blues captures the heart of urban India through the journey of four close-knit friends navigating ambition, heartbreak, and hope in the vibrant city of Mumbai. Written, directed, and scripted by P.V.S. Varma, with visually arresting cinematography by K. Phani, the film promises a deeply emotional and aesthetically compelling cinematic experience.

Adding a distinct edge to the film’s production quality is Director Samar K. Mukherjee, whose expertise spans across every technical department—including cinematography, editing, audio engineering, color grading, and mastering. His visionary approach is instrumental in elevating both the film and the concept of the awards to world-class standards.

Indore. On the occasion of Shanishari Jayanti, it was celebrated with great pomp at Gajasin Shanidham in Usha Nagar under the guidance of Dr. Dadu Maharaj.

Shani Shanti Yagna started at 8 am by anointing with various oils. Yagyacharya Pt. Mahendra Krishna Shastri told that the yagna started by first worshipping Ganpati Ambika, Kalash Puja, Shodasamtrika Puja, Navgrah Mandal Puja, Lakshminarayan Puja, Dattatreya Puja and Shanidev, in which more than 400 devotees offered more than 10 lakh oblations with various mantras for all the gods and goddesses.

At 12 noon, Lord Shanidev’s birth anniversary was celebrated with drums and aarti was performed.

In which more than ten thousand devotees reached Shani Dham from 5 am to late night.

On Shani Jayanti, there was a continuous flow of devotees from morning to late night. The temple was decorated with flowers along with attractive electricity and Shani Dev was adorned with 500 kg Basmati rice, 600 kg sugar, 500 kg flour, 25 oil cans, the material will be used for the prasadi of the devotee group.

At 8 pm, the Palki Yatra started from the temple, visited the Usha Nagar area and reached the temple premises again, after which Maha Aarti was performed. During the Yatra, the devotees kept walking chanting Jai Shanidev.

Along with this, food prasadi was also distributed among all the devotees.

Mumbai’s iconic Jehangir Art Gallery is currently hosting a compelling exhibition by London-based artist Dr. Mohan Luthra, titled Home & Abroad – A Painting and a Thought. The exhibition features 28 evocative landscapes and has been drawing a steady stream of visitors, including art enthusiasts, critics, and cultural figures, with nearly 100 attendees daily.

The exhibition was inaugurated on 17^th February 2025 by Mr. Kaiyoze Billimoria, a distinguished Mumbai citizen, who reflected on Dr. Luthra’s multifaceted career in the UK while maintaining a lifelong dedication to the arts. Speaking at the event, Billimoria noted, “Each painting here is not just a depiction of a place, but an exploration of how those places have shaped the artist’s thought and spirit.” He also emphasized Luthra’s deep connection to Indian landscapes, particularly through his recent work in shared studios in Goa and Reva Kancheta, along the banks of the Narmada River.

The exhibition was also attended by Senior Advocate Rui Rodrigues, a board member of the YMCA committee, who was particularly drawn to the poetic depth woven into Luthra’s work.

Home & Abroad showcases a diverse range of landscapes, from architectural panoramas to what the artist describes as “wastescapes.” Yet beyond their striking visual appeal, these works carry deeper narratives—questioning the realities behind idyllic settings through poetic reflections and self-exploration. Luthra’s approach challenges viewers to move beyond aesthetics and engage with the truths hidden beneath the surface.

A notable aspect of the exhibition is its curation, subtly tracing the artist’s evolution from childhood to the present. Through this lens, Home & Abroad not only highlights Luthra’s artistic growth but also explores how his journeys—both physical and emotional—have shaped his perspective and creative voice.

With Home & Abroad, Dr. Mohan Luthra once again demonstrates his ability to merge visual splendor with introspective depth, offering audiences a thought-provoking experience that lingers long after they leave the gallery.

The exhibition runs until Sunday, 23rd February.

मुजफ्फरपुर के सेलटर होम की दर्दनाक कांड की याद दिलाती इस फ़िल्म में अक्षय वर्मा, निसाद राज राणा, राजवीर सिंह ,रोहित भारद्वाज, अनामिका पाण्डेय, नाजनीन पटनी ,दिव्या त्यागी मनीशा ,ठाकुर और  सान्या ठाकुर इत्यादि ने अभिनय किया है।

कुमार नीरज ने इसकी पटकथा और संवाद लिखने में काफी रिसर्च की है। पीड़ितों से मिले, उनके दर्द और तकलीफ को महसूस किया और फिर उसे पर्दे पर प्रस्तुत करने जा रहे हैं।
