मुंबई, जुलै 2026 : महाराष्ट्रात वारंवार वीजपुरवठा खंडित होण्याची समस्या आता केवळ तात्पुरती अडचण राहिलेली नाहीत, या घटनांमुळे राज्याच्या वीज वितरण व्यवस्थेतील उणिवा समोर येत आहेत. नागपुरातील ट्रान्सफॉर्मर बिघाड, मुंबईतील दीर्घकाळ वीज खंडित होणे आणि नवी मुंबईतील नागरिकांच्या आंदोलनांमुळे वाढती वीज मागणी, अतिवृष्टी आणि उष्णतेच्या काळात वितरण यंत्रणेवर मोठा ताण येत असल्याचे दिसून येत आहे.

वेगाने होणाऱ्या शहरीकरणामुळे पायाभूत सुविधांवर ताण

मुंबई आणि आसपासच्या भागात वेगाने वाढणारे शहरीकरण होत असल्याने वीज वितरण यंत्रणेचा वेळेवर विस्तार आणि आधुनिकीकरण करणे आवश्यक झाले आहे. यंदाच्या उन्हाळ्यात खारघरसारख्या भागांत सहा तास वीजपुरवठा बंद होता. नागपुरात विक्रमी वीज मागणीमुळे ट्रान्सफॉर्मर बिघाड झाले आणि अनेक भागांत र्घकाळ वीज खंडित झाली, तर पुण्यात काही भागांमध्ये 24 तासांहून अधिक काळ वीजपुरवठा बंद राहिला, तर  नवी मुंबईत वारंवार होणाऱ्या वीज खंडित होण्याच्या घटनांमुळे नागरिकांनी आंदोलन केले. ट्रान्सफॉर्मरवरील वाढता ताण, दुरुस्तीत होणारा विलंब आणि अपुरे नियोजन याबाबत नागरिकांनी नाराजी व्यक्त केली.

केवळ गैरसोय नाही, तर सुरक्षेचाही प्रश्न

वारंवार होणाऱ्या वीज खंडित होण्यामुळे केवळ दैनंदिन जीवन विस्कळीत होत नाही, तर विद्युत सुरक्षेचे आणि ग्राहकांच्या सुरक्षेचेही प्रश्न निर्माण होतात. व्होल्टेजमधील चढ-उतारांमुळे विद्युत उपकरणांचे नुकसान होऊ शकते. काही ठिकाणी ट्रान्सफॉर्मर बिघाडाच्या घटनांमुळे विद्युत सुरक्षिततेबाबतही चिंता व्यक्त करण्यात आली असून, वीज वितरण यंत्रणेची नियमित देखभाल आणि आधुनिकीकरणाची गरज अधोरेखित झाली आहे. याशिवाय, वीज कंपन्यांकडून वेळेवर माहिती न मिळणे आणि तक्रारींवर उशिरा प्रतिसाद मिळाल्यामुळे ग्राहकांचा विश्वास कमी होत आहे. दीर्घकाळ वीज नसल्याचा सर्वाधिक फटका ज्येष्ठ नागरिक, लहान मुले आणि सतत वीजेवर अवलंबून असलेल्या रुग्णांना बसतो. विशेषतः उष्णतेच्या काळात अशा घटना सार्वजनिक आरोग्य आणि नागरिकांच्या सुरक्षिततेसाठी गंभीर ठरू शकतात.

तज्ज्ञांचे मत : वीज वितरण व्यवस्थेत व्यापक सुधारणांची तातडीची गरज

समता पॉवरचे संचालक डी. डी. अग्रवाल यांच्या मते, अलीकडील वीजपुरवठा खंडित होण्याच्या घटनांमुळे वीज वितरण यंत्रणेची नियमित तपासणी, देखभाल आणि दीर्घकालीन नियोजन अधिक मजबूत करणे आवश्यक झाले आहे. त्यांच्या मते, बिघाड झाल्यानंतर दुरुस्ती करण्यापेक्षा उपकरणांची वेळोवेळी तपासणी करून आधीच आवश्यक देखभाल केल्यास अनेक समस्या टाळता येऊ शकतात. ते पुढे म्हणाले की, मोठ्या प्रमाणावर वीज खंडित झाल्यास पुरेसे मनुष्यबळ आणि आवश्यक संसाधने उपलब्ध असणेही तितकेच महत्त्वाचे आहे. त्यावरच वीजपुरवठा किती लवकर पूर्ववत होईल, हे अवलंबून असते. आधुनिक वीज वितरण व्यवस्थेत प्रेडिक्टिव्ह मेंटेनन्स (आधीच बिघाडाचा अंदाज घेऊन देखभाल), डिजिटल मॉनिटरिंग आणि नियोजनबद्ध मालमत्ता व्यवस्थापनाचा प्रभावी वापर केल्यास वीजपुरवठा अधिक विश्वासार्ह आणि सुरळीत ठेवता येऊ शकतो.

अग्रवाल यांनी सांगितले की, महाराष्ट्रातील वीज वितरण कंपन्यांनी अधिक ठोस पावले उचलण्याची गरज आहे. महावितरण (MSEDCL) सारख्या संस्थांनी वाढत्या वीज मागणीनुसार वीज ग्रिड आणि ट्रान्सफॉर्मरची क्षमता वाढवावी. तसेच प्रेडिक्टिव्ह मेंटेनन्ससारख्या आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर करून संभाव्य बिघाड आधीच ओळखून त्यावर उपाय करावेत. तसेच मुंबईतील बेस्ट (BEST) सारख्या संस्थांनी जुन्या केबल्स बदलणे, डिजिटल मॉनिटरिंग वाढवणे आणि ग्राहकांशी अधिक प्रभावी संवाद साधणे यावर भर द्यावा. नियोजित किंवा अचानक वीजपुरवठा खंडित झाल्यास ग्राहकांना तात्काळ आणि अचूक माहिती मिळावी यासाठी रिअल-टाइम माहिती देणारी व्यवस्था अधिक सक्षम करणेही तितकेच महत्त्वाचे आहे.

ते पुढे म्हणाले, “राज्य सरकारने आरडीएसएस (RDSS) योजनेअंतर्गत नवीन 33/11 केव्ही उपकेंद्रे, ट्रान्सफॉर्मरची क्षमता वाढवणे आणि फीडर सुधारणा यांसारख्या कामांवर मोठी गुंतवणूक केली आहे. तरीही, विशेषतः ग्रामीण भागात वीजपुरवठ्यातील अडथळे आणि वितरणातील तांत्रिक तोटे अजूनही पूर्णपणे कमी झालेले नाहीत. ही समस्या फक्त महाराष्ट्रातच नाही, तर उत्तर प्रदेश आणि पंजाबसारख्या इतर राज्यांमध्येही दिसून येत आहे.”

पावसाळा सुरू झाल्यानंतर राज्यातील वीजेची मागणी उन्हाळ्याच्या तुलनेत कमी झाली असून त्यामुळे ट्रान्सफॉर्मर आणि वीज वितरण यंत्रणेवरील ताणही कमी झाला आहे. हा काळ प्रतिबंधात्मक देखभाल करण्यासाठी योग्य आहे. या काळात जुने ट्रान्सफॉर्मर आणि केबल्स बदलणे, जास्त भार असलेल्या भागांमध्ये क्षमता वाढवणे आणि कमकुवत वीज नेटवर्क मजबूत करणे अशी कामे पूर्ण करता येतील. ही कामे पुढील उन्हाळ्यापूर्वी पूर्ण झाल्यास ट्रान्सफॉर्मर बिघाड कमी होतील, वीजपुरवठा अधिक विश्वासार्ह बनेल आणि नागरिकांना अधिक चांगली सेवा मिळेल.

अग्रवाल यांनी शेवटी सांगितले, “अलीकडील वीज खंडित होण्याच्या घटनांमुळे वीज वितरण व्यवस्थेचे आधुनिकीकरण आणि नियमित देखभाल किती महत्त्वाची आहे, हे स्पष्ट झाले आहे. यासाठी वीज वितरण कंपन्या, नियामक संस्था आणि उद्योग क्षेत्र यांनी एकत्रितपणे काम करण्याची गरज आहे. वेळेवर गुंतवणूक, योग्य नियोजन, आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर आणि सर्व संबंधित घटकांमधील सातत्यपूर्ण समन्वय यामुळे वीज वितरण व्यवस्था अधिक सक्षम होईल आणि नागरिकांना अधिक विश्वासार्ह वीजपुरवठा मिळू शकेल.”

मुंबई: राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार विजेते गायक राहुल देशपांडे यांच्या बहुचर्चित ‘अभंगवारी’ या संगीत मैफिलीने शनिवारी मुंबईतील शन्मुखानंद सभागृह भक्ती, अध्यात्म आणि संगीताच्या अविस्मरणीय अनुभवाने भारावून टाकले. हाऊसफुल्ल सभागृहात हजारो रसिकांनी संतवाङ्मयाच्या अमृतवर्षावात स्वतःला हरवून टाकले.

राहुल देशपांडे यांच्या स्वरांनी शन्मुखानंद सभागृह जणू पंढरीच्या वारीत रूपांतरित झाले. संतांच्या अभंगांनी संपूर्ण वातावरण भक्तिमय झाले होते. प्रत्येक रचना ही केवळ सादरीकरण नव्हती, तर ती भक्तीची अनुभूती होती. हजारो भाविक आणि संगीतप्रेमींनी संतांच्या अमर वाणीचा आनंद घेत हा सोहळा अविस्मरणीय ठरवला.

या कार्यक्रमाला राहुल देशपांडे यांच्या मातोश्री वंदना देशपांडे, माहिती तंत्रज्ञान व सांस्कृतिक कार्यमंत्री अॅड. आशिष शेलार, विधान परिषदेचे सदस्य श्रीकांत भारतीय, खासदार आणि राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेस (शरदचंद्र पवार) पक्षाच्या कार्याध्यक्ष सुप्रिया सुळे, उद्योगपती सदानंद सुळे तसेच ओरिएंटल अरोमॅटिक्स लिमिटेडचे मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी पराग साटोस्कर यांसह अनेक मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.

अकराव्या वर्षात पदार्पण केलेल्या *’अभंगवारी’*ने आज भारतातील सर्वाधिक लोकप्रिय भक्तिसंगीत मैफिलींपैकी एक म्हणून स्वतःची ओळख निर्माण केली आहे. राहुल देशपांडे यांचे प्रभावी गायन, अभंगांमागील कथांचे रसपूर्ण निवेदन, त्यांची बहीण दीप्ती माटे यांचे सुरेल सादरीकरण आणि उत्कृष्ट वादकांच्या साथीने पंढरपूर वारीचा भावविश्व रंगमंचावर जिवंत झाले.

सुमारे तीन तास चाललेल्या या कार्यक्रमादरम्यान संपूर्ण सभागृह “राम कृष्ण हरी”च्या अखंड गजराने दुमदुमून गेले. संत ज्ञानेश्वर, संत तुकाराम, संत नामदेव, संत एकनाथ आणि इतर संतकवींच्या अभंगांनी रसिकांच्या मनात भक्ती, श्रद्धा आणि अध्यात्माचा गहिरा स्पर्श निर्माण केला. प्रत्येक सादरीकरणानंतर टाळ्यांचा कडकडाट आणि उभे राहून दिलेली दाद यामुळे कार्यक्रमाला उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसाद मिळाला.

पिंपरी-चिंचवड, इंदूर, हैदराबाद, दिल्ली, बेंगळुरू, अमरावती आणि नागपूर येथील यशस्वी प्रयोगांनंतर मुंबईतील हा कार्यक्रम *’अभंगवारी’*च्या यशस्वी प्रवासातील आणखी एक सुवर्णक्षण ठरला. भक्तिसंगीताच्या माध्यमातून विविध पिढ्यांना जोडत महाराष्ट्राच्या समृद्ध संतपरंपरेचा आणि सांस्कृतिक वारशाचा गौरव करणारे राहुल देशपांडे यांचे कार्य पुन्हा एकदा अधोरेखित झाले.

पुणे | प्रतिनिधी : अखिल भारतीय मराठी चित्रपट महामंडळ आणि बालगंधर्व परिवार ट्रस्ट, पुणे यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने आयोजित करण्यात आलेल्या भव्य “कलाकारांच्या दिंडी” या सांस्कृतिक सोहळ्यात रिपब्लिकन पार्टी ऑफ इंडिया (आठवले गट) महाराष्ट्राच्या चीफ सेक्रेटरी, सामाजिक कार्यकर्त्या तसेच संघमित्रा फिल्म प्रॉडक्शनच्या निर्मात्या संघमित्रा ताई गायकवाड यांनी उत्स्फूर्त सहभाग नोंदवत सांस्कृतिक ऐक्याचा संदेश दिला.

बालगंधर्व रंगमंदिरातून प्रारंभ झालेल्या या दिंडीत नाटक, चित्रपट, दूरचित्रवाणी मालिका, संगीत, नृत्य आणि साहित्य क्षेत्रातील अनेक मान्यवर कलाकार सहभागी झाले. वारकरी परंपरा, महाराष्ट्राची समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक परंपरा आणि कलाविश्व यांचा सुंदर संगम या दिंडीत अनुभवायला मिळाला.

यावेळी अखिल भारतीय मराठी चित्रपट महामंडळाचे अध्यक्ष मेघराज राजेभोसले, महाराष्ट्र राज्याचे कॅबिनेट मंत्री उदय सामंत यांच्या सुविद्य पत्नी व ज्येष्ठ अभिनेत्री नीलम शिर्के, ज्येष्ठ कलाकार प्रशांत बोगम, भूमाता ब्रिगेडच्या अध्यक्षा तृप्ती देसाई यांच्यासह चित्रपट निर्माती संघमित्रा ताई गायकवाड यांनी दिंडीत सहभागी होत कलाकारांशी संवाद साधला आणि सांस्कृतिक परंपरेला अभिवादन केले.

याप्रसंगी संघमित्रा ताई गायकवाड म्हणाल्या, “महाराष्ट्राची कला, संस्कृती आणि संत परंपरा ही आपली अमूल्य ओळख आहे. कलाकारांनी समाजाला एकत्र आणण्याचे कार्य करावे आणि अशा उपक्रमांमधून आपल्या सांस्कृतिक वारशाचा ठेवा पुढील पिढीपर्यंत पोहोचवावा.”

कोलकाता 13 जुलाई 2026 ! पश्चिम बंगाल में सियासी हलचल तेज है और टीएमसी में फूट मची है। कई विधायक ममता बनर्जी के साथ छोड़ चुके हैं। कई राज्यसभा और लोकसभा सांसद पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी और भतीजे अभिषेक बनर्जी से नाराज चल रहे हैं। इस बीच बीजेपी सरकार ने उद्योगपतियों के लिए दरवाजे खोल रही हैं। VFS Capital के प्रबंध निदेशक एवं मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी कुलदीप मैती ने अपनी नई राजनीतिक यात्रा की शुरुआत से पहले माँ विन्ध्यवासिनी धाम, विन्ध्याचल में दर्शन-पूजन किया। उन्होंने प्रदेश की सुख-शांति और जनसेवा के लिए माँ से आशीर्वाद मांगा।

दर्शन के बाद मैती ने कहा, “सेवा ही संकल्प है। माँ के आशीर्वाद से अब मैं कोलकाता और पश्चिम बंगाल के विकास में प्रत्यक्ष भूमिका निभाना चाहता हूँ।” सूत्रों के अनुसार वे जल्द ही भारतीय जनता पार्टी का दामन थाम कर राज्यसभा जा सकते हैं। सदस्यता ग्रहण समारोह किसी वरिष्ठ नेता, संभवतः बीजेपी अध्यक्ष या केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह की उपस्थिति में हो सकता है।

सामाजिक क्षेत्र से जुड़े कुलदीप मैती को पूर्वी भारत के माइक्रोफाइनेंस सेक्टर का जाना-माना नाम माना जाता है। पिछले दो दशकों से वे महिलाओं और आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्गों के वित्तीय सशक्तिकरण के लिए काम कर रहे हैं। मंदिर में बड़ी संख्या में दर्शक उपस्थित थे। आशीर्वाद लेकर लौटने पर दर्शकों में उत्साह देखा गया।

टीएमसी से मोहभंग के बाद भाजपा में नए चेहरों के जुड़ने की चर्चा के बीच श्री मैती का नाम भी तेजी से सामने आ रहा है। मैती बिजनेस एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन और सोशल सेक्टर में दो मास्टर डिग्री के साथ डॉक्टरेट भी हैं। शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य और युवा रोजगार को लेकर वे जल्द अपनी कार्ययोजना की घोषणा करेंगे। भाजपा और मैती की ओर से अभी आधिकारिक पुष्टि नहीं हुई है।

Kan Singh Sodha’s Zorr, produced by KSS Production and Entertainment and releasing in theatres on February 6, unveiled its much-awaited trailer at a high-energy launch event that also saw the release of the film’s promotional title track ‘Zorr Ka Dhakka.’ The film will be distributed pan India by UFO, marking a strong nationwide theatrical push for the horror-comedy.

Composed by Raju Singh, the song features an eclectic mix of voices including Leslee Lewis, Raju Singh, Mujtaba Aziz Naza, Pinky Maidasani, Kan Singh Sodha and Himanshu Chowdhary, adding musical punch to the film’s quirky horror tone. The lyrics are penned by Dr. (Hon) Anusha Srinivasan Iyer, while music production has been handled by Himanshu Chowdhary and Raju Singh. The track sets the mood for the film with its edgy beats and playful eeriness, perfectly capturing the spirit of chaos that defines Zorr.

Producer Kan Singh Sodha made a grand appearance at the launch along with cast members Rishab Chadha, Sonam Arora and Vijay Singh, creative producer Shaan Chakraborty, veteran singer Saapna Mukerji, and three corporate zombies who stole the spotlight with their spooky antics. मुम्बई. मुख्य अतिथि मशहूर एक्ट्रेस शिल्पा शेट्टी, गेस्ट ऑफ आनर तुषार कपूर, रोटरी क्लब के डा मनीष मोटवानी और डाक्टर 365 एवं डीआरवीए चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट के चेयरमैन डॉ धर्मेंद्र कुमार की उपस्थिति में 5वें बॉलीवुड महा आरोग्य शिविर 2026 का सफल आयोजन   चित्रकूट      ग्राउंड अंधेरी वेस्ट मुंबई में 18 जनवरी 2026 को किया गया. इसमे गेस्ट के रूप में  श्री बिरांची दास डायरेक्टर पर्सनल सेकल स्वप्निल धार (मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर SBI फ़ाउंडेशन), संजय प्रकाश (एक्स एमडी एसबीआई फ़ाउंडेशन), मनोज अग्रवाल (सीएमडी बीसीसीएल), एमके रमैय्या (डायरेक्ट HR &पर्सनल बीसीसीएल), ज्ञानेश्वर पाटिल सांसद (खंडवा मध्यप्रदेश), अभिनेत्री उपासना सिंह, नरेश मल्होत्रा (चेयरमैन प्राईम फोकस), ऐक्टर दीपक पराशर, दिलीप सेन, संगीता तिवारी जैसी हस्तियां मौजूद रहीं. इस कार्यक्रम के आयोजन में विशाल सिंह, अन्नू सिंह, फैशन डिज़ाइनर अर्चना कोचर,  महेश मनवानी, बी एन तिवारी, अमित दोषी, डॉ दिलीप पवार, डॉ गोविंद रेड्डी, डॉ सुभाष, हरीश चोकसी, महेंद्र पोद्दार ( चित्रकूट ग्राउंड), योगिता बोरकर, अनी भूषण और डॉ अनिल पांडे जैसी हस्तियों का सपोर्ट रहा। सभी अतिथियों को पुष्पगुच्छ देकर सम्मानित किया गया. दीप प्रज्वलित करके कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत हुई.

5वें बॉलीवुड महा आरोग्य शिविर में हजारों लोगों ने स्वास्थ्य लाभ लिए जैसे जनरल हेल्थ चेकअप, व्हीलचेयर वितरण, आंखों की जांच और चश्मे का वितरण, ब्लड चेकअप, डेंटल, ईएंटी, जनरल सर्जरी, गायनेकोलॉजिस्ट, यूरोलॉजिस्ट, डर्मेटोलॉजी, कैंसर, बच्चों के हेल्थ चेकअप, एक्स-रे, BMD, BMI, मैमोग्राफी, दवाएं, 5 लाख हेल्थ कार्ड. मुंबई के प्रीमियम अस्पतालों के डॉक्टरों और पैरामेडिकल टीम द्वारा इस शिविर को सपोर्ट मिला. इस फ्री मेडिकल कैंप में 56 हजार मरीजों ने लाभ लिया, 1200 व्हील चेयर, 13 हजार आँखों की जांच और चश्मे का वितरण किया गया. 2.5 करोड़ रुपये की दवाएं वितरित की गई. 58 सर्जिकल पेशेंट्स का पता चला. 13 हजार डायबिटीज टेस्ट और 21 हजार ब्लड टेस्ट हुए साथ ही 200 मैमोग्राफी, 525 इसीजी, 900 बीएमडी हुआ. इसमे 800 से ज्यादा डॉक्टर्स और 1100 से ज्यादा पैरामेडिकल स्टाफ के साथ 300 वोलंटियर का सहयोग प्राप्त हुआ.

डॉ धर्मेंद्र कुमार ने बताया कि महामारी के बाद से फिल्म इंडस्ट्री से जुड़े लोगों के लिए ये खास आरोग्य शिविर का आयोजन हम पांच वर्षों से करते आ रहे हैं. इस से मीडिया से जुड़े लोग और उनके परिवार वाले भी लाभ लेते हैं. हम मुख्य अतिथि शिल्पा शेट्टी सहित सभी गेस्ट्स का आभार व्यक्त करते हैं.

अतिथियों ने डॉ धर्मेंद्र कुमार का ये प्रयास सराहनीय बताया. सबसे ज्यादा फ्री मेगा मेडिकल कैंप करने के कारण उनकी संस्था ने वर्ल्ड रिकार्ड मे भी नाम दर्ज करवाया है.

डीआरवीए चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट पिछले 15 वर्षों से कार्यरत है. ट्रस्ट के अध्यक्ष डॉ धर्मेंद्र कुमार का लक्ष्य है कि हम सब मिलकर एक स्वस्थ, सशक्त और प्रगतिशील समाज की दिशा में काम करते रहेंगे।

उल्लेखनीय है कि अब तक डॉ धर्मेंद्र कुमार के मार्गदर्शन में कुल 9781 मेडिकल कैम्प का आयोजन किया गया है जिससे एक करोड़ 96 लाख मरीजों को लाभ मिला, 11 लाख से अधिक सिकल सेल्स की जांच और 22 हजार मरीजों का इलाज हुआ. 12 लाख टीबी पेशेंट्स की जांच और दवाएं, 80 हजार टीबी मरीजों को न्यूट्रीशन किट दिया गया. 3 लाख लोगों की आँखों की जांच जबकि 1.8 लाख चश्मे वितरित किए गए. 92 हजार व्हीलचेयर का वितरण किया गया जबकि अब तक कुल 11 हजार लोगों की सर्जरी करवाई गई है.

In the works of Sajal Kanti Mitra, figuration and abstraction exist in a continuous, deliberate dialogue. His paintings unfold within a threshold space where faces, bodies, and gestures momentarily emerge from layered fields of colour, only to recede again into atmosphere and rhythm. Rather than offering linear narratives, the works propose states of becoming, images held in suspension, as if caught between thought and emotion.

Mitra’s visual language is rooted in an urban consciousness, yet it is tempered by an inward, almost musical lyricism. The recurring female forms across his canvases function less as portraits and more as presences, self-contained, introspective, and quietly resonant. Their elongated physiognomies and gently fractured planes evoke relational memory, suggesting how identities are shaped through closeness, distance, and unspoken exchange rather than fixed definition.

Colour operates here as cadence rather than embellishment. Dense reds and ochres lend gravity and corporeal weight, while blues and greens open into contemplative, meditative intervals. The worked surfaces scraped, layered, and reassembled, retain traces of process, allowing the act of painting itself to register as an attentive, almost listening gesture.

Seen together, the exhibition reads as a sustained meditation on rhythm: of bodies, emotions, and lived urban experience filtered through personal mythology. Mitra does not seek resolution; instead, he holds form at the edge of recognition, inviting the viewer into a quiet, continuous encounter.

Renowned artist Parameh Paul is showing his recent work “Sacred India” 17th Solo Show of Paintings at Nehru Centre Art Gallery, AC Gallery, Worli, Mumbai from 13th to 19th January 2026 between 11am to 7pm.

A Luminous Journey through Sacred Sites Paramesh Paul pays an earnest and deeply emotive tribute to the scenic and sacred beauty of places like Varanasi and Pandharpur. In glowing, warm colours — amber, gold, and vermilion — these works are created with utmost care and devotion. A sense of awe is evoked through the dense compositions, while a serene, sublime calm pervades the picture space, immersing the viewer in prayer-like feelings, known and ‘unknown’.

In a work, the sky shines with saturated oranges and golds, while floating diyas and lotus blooms transform the river itself into an altar — majestic, fluid, and sanctified. The ghats of Varanasi at dusk, the sculpted Nandi, the pilgrims and devotees performing rituals, lend the paintings a rich narrative fullness, conveying faith as a lived, luminous presence. Scripted with fine, brooding strokes, these paintings are soothing and richly rewarding on both visual and emotional terms. The lines and forms that construct boats and houses have a quiet charm. Details of rituals — aarti, bathing, prayer, procession — and of temples, pavilions, and arches, are sensitively rendered; they carry a fascinating presence and grace, binding all elements into a shared ceremonial glow. In another piece, the palette shifts to greys, ash-whites, muted blues, and smoky browns. Against this subdued ground, ornate bamboo chhatris punctuate the surface, as if reflecting continuity — ritual, belief, and the ceaseless flow of life along the river. India is a vast land with various traditions of celebration, devotion, worship, and holy places. Works such as these, recalling the “purity” of the sacred riverine sites on painterly terms, are a noteworthy aspiration.

Mumbai. On the auspicious occasion of the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the founder of the Indian National Army and one of modern India’s greatest sons, on January 23, 2026, renowned author, senior journalist, and producer Maann Singh Deep proudly and patriotically announced the production of his much-anticipated historical film “Untold Truth of Subhash Chandra Bose.”

This film is not merely a cinematic presentation; it is a courageous attempt to unveil those chapters of history that were deliberately kept obscured for decades. Based on extensive research, international documents, and historical evidence, the film claims to bring forth facts capable of shaking the very foundations of contemporary global geopolitics.

Presented by Maann Singh Deep, this ambitious project is being produced by Kalyaani Singh and Vedant Singh, while the direction has been entrusted to acclaimed filmmaker Ashok Tyagi. Challenging long-established historical narratives, the film seeks to assert that the real and decisive role in India’s independence was played by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, rather than being confined to the sole discourse of non-violence.

“Untold Truth of Subhash Chandra Bose” aims not only to offer the nation a fresh perspective on history but also to compel audiences to rethink the true meaning of nationalism, sacrifice, and genuine freedom. The film aspires to serve as a powerful medium to present Netaji’s thoughts, struggles, and sacrifices to future generations with renewed awareness and inspiration.
