Vision problems and blindness due to multiple eye complications are on the rise amongst the Indian population – mainly due to cataract, diabetes retinopathy, glaucoma and other issues. It is a serious concern for a country that already has the largest population of blind people in the world, of over 8 million. The reason behind such a large population suffering from vision problems is the lack of even basic health care facilities to people who live in the poorest parts of the countryand cannot afford healthcare cost because of poverty. If access to timely treatments would have been possible, a large percentage could have been prevented from going blind.

Knowing this fully well, Shree Ramkrishna Netralaya (SRN) has been treating the population for various eye related problems since 2003 not only in Mumbai but also holding regular eye camps in the interior parts of the country in association with NGOs. During the period of two decades since SRN was established in 2003, the institution’s constant endeavor has been to provide international eye care services across its four facilities located in Mumbai, at Thane, Mulund, Vashi and Seawood. SRN has full NABH accredition. SRN works closely with CGHS and Ex Servicemen health scheme.

The SRN mission has been the dream of Dr. Nitin Deshpande, a highly qualified eye specialist and chairman, who along with his team of qualified doctors has performed over 50,000 surgeries in the past 20 years and earned the trust of over one lakh patients. Cumulatively the team has over 150 years of experience in providing critical eye care treatment. SRN has a holistic approach to eye care. For vision problems has an economical cost too. Timely treatment of vision problems helps prevent blindness and increases access to education for children, besides it helps access to employment and prosperity, and enables greater participation in civil, social and political life among the adult population. A report by NGO Orbisreleased on the World Sight Day, has found that between 2019-20, the loss to gross national income due to blindness in adults would be Rs 9.06 lac crore and Rs. 3.31 crore for children – for 10 and 40lost working years respectively. This includes the loss of economically productive years for both the visually impaired and their care-givers.

The Ophthalmologists in the hospital are specialists in the fields of cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, lasik surgery, lasik vision correction and more. नयी दिल्ली, 26 मार्च ग्लोबल कायस्थ कॉन्फ्रेंस (जीकेसी) ने महान कवियित्री, सुविख्यात लेखिका, पद्म विभूषण और पद्म भूषण सम्मान से अंलकृत महादेवी वर्मा की जयंती 26 मार्च के अवसर पर महादेवी वर्मा स्मृति सम्मान समारोह – 2022 का आयोजन किया, जिसमें अलग-अलग क्षेत्र में उल्लेखनीय योगदान देने वाली 27 विभूतियों को  महादेवी वर्मा स्मृति सम्मान से सम्मानित किया गया।

जीकेसी की प्रबंध न्यासी श्रीमती रागिनी रंजन की अध्यक्षता में स्व. महादेवी वर्मा की जयंती के अवसर पर सत्याग्रह मंडप, गांधी स्मृति एवं दर्शन समिति, राजघाट, नई दिल्‍ली परिसर में महादेवी वर्मा स्मृति सम्मान समारोह – 2022 का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम की शुरूआत दीप प्रज्जवलन, भगवान गणपति और भगवान चित्रगुप्त चित्र पर पुष्प अर्पित कर की गयी। इसके बाद इसके बाद राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी और महादेवी वर्मा के चित्र पर पुष्प अर्पित किया गया। श्रीमती जया श्रीवास्तव ने भजन वैष्णव जन तो तैनी कहिये गीत पेश किया। इस अवसर पर बतौर मुख्य अतिथि संदीप मारवाह, सुमन कुमार, ज्ञानेन्द्र रावत, प्रिया मल्लिक और माया कुलश्रेष्ठ निगम मौजूद थी, जिन्हें मोमेंटो, पुष्पगुच्छ और अंगवस्त्र देकर सम्मानित किया गया। जीकेसी दिल्ली के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष सुनील कुमार ने स्वागत भाषण दिया। कार्यक्रम का मंच संचालन प्रतिष्ठा  श्रीवास्तव ने किया।

इस अवसर पर जीकेसी के ग्लोबल अध्‍यक्ष राजीव रंजन प्रसाद ने बताया कि जीकेसी कायस्‍थ समाज के शैक्षणिक, आर्थिक, सांस्‍कृतिक विकास के साथ-साथ उनके उत्‍थान के लिए प्रयासरत है। इसी के तहत प्रख्यात लेखिका एवं उपन्यासकार स्व. महादेवी वर्मा की जयन्ती के अवसर पर महादेवी वर्मा स्मृति सम्मान-2022 ,समाज के लिए अपने अमूल्‍य योगदान देने वाली 27 विभूतियों को दिया गया है। उन्होने बताया कि महादेवी वर्मा छायावादी युग की प्रमुख कवयित्री मानी जाती हैं। आधुनिक हिंदी साहित्य में महादेवी वर्मा मीराबाई के नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुईं। आधुनिक गीत काव्य में महादेवी वर्मा जी का स्थान सर्वोपरि रहा तथा उन्होंने एक गद्य लेखिका के रूप में भी अपनी ख्याति प्राप्त की।आधुनिक हिन्दी की सबसे सशक्त कवयित्रियों में से एक होने के कारण उन्हें आधुनिक मीरा के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।महादेवी वर्मा जी एक मशूहर कवियित्री तो थी, इसके साथ ही वे एक महान समाज सुधारक भी थीं।

Talking about his work, Neurologist Dr Hardeep Kumar said, “ I feel very proud that I am the only neurologist who has a special degree in epilepsy from Jammu. The concept of ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park Art Festival’ was introduced by Shri. Aditya Thackeray, the Minister of Environment and Tourism. It was the first of its kind to be held with the aim of providing a comprehensive platform for students and artists.The event was attended by lakhs of visitors in 3 days.

The fest also featured Bollywood playback singer Hrishikesh Chury’s ‘Live in Concert’. He performed on the stage in front of the scenic views of Dadar Beach and Bandra Worli Sealink. His soulful voice mesmerized the audience.

Hrishikesh Chury said, ‘CSMP Art Festival’ was a comprehensive and artistic event organized in Mumbai with a large participation in various events. The response from the audience was overwhelming. I am happy to perform here”.

Other attractions of the festival were various workshops, Marathon, the display of antique & historical weapons, exhibition of artistic products, art installations, Live performances, talk shows and Food court.

Huzaifa Hanfi exclaims that he learned the significance of hustle and consistency over the last four years. He started his business for pleasure, but he had no idea how serious his interests had become. Finally, traveling and being in shape became more of an obsession for him, and then he never looked back. He says that it can be said, that it all began out as a joke, but now he is really enjoying where it all is leading to. It absolutely normal to feel camera-shy and stutter a little as a result of the anxiousness that comes with being on camera. It’s more crucial to make evergreen content so that each video gets more views over time rather than becoming a one-hit-wonder. He claims that his toughest rival has always been himself. With each passing day, he is improving on what he had done the day before and his aim is to set goals for others, inspire them, and be admired.
