Even the Indian monsoons could not dampen the enthusiasm of Yoga enthusiasts as foreign diplomats, expatriate community, and foreign students from over 30 countries participated in celebrating the International Day of Yoga organised by Ministry of External Affairs’ Mumbai Office – Videsh Bhawan.

In addition to the usual focus on Yoga, this year Videsh Bhavan wove in traditional sciences of Ayurveda and Vastu Shastra in the event to increase awareness about India’s traditional sciences. Renowned experts spoke on how practical tips to improve health and beauty through ayurveda and diet. The talk on how positive energy in living spaces can be increased using simple vastu tips also generated a lot of interest. Guests also had an opportunity to try out Made in India products at promotion stalls set up at the venue by over a dozen Indian companies in field of ayurveda, wellness, healthy eating, beauty products, tourism, khadi etc. The guests were also entertained with live Indian and fusion music throughout the event.

With an aim of organising the IDY at an iconic locations, Videsh Bhawan held the event at the historic Darbal Hall of the Raj Bhavan (Governor House). The Darbar Hall which oversees the Arabian sea has been a witness to several important moments in India’s history since the British times. Speaking at the event, Governor for Maharashtra and Goa Sri Bhagat Singh Koshyari emphasised the ever increasing relevance of Yoga in managing stress and leading ahealthy lifestyle. He also commended MEA for spreading Yoga in different corners of the world in line with Prime Minister Modi’s vision.

Head of Videsh Bhawan Dr Rajesh Gawande added that Videsh Bhawan’s efforts to weave in other traditional sciences like ayurveda and vastushastra while promoting Yoga, resonates with PM Modi’s vision of promoting Indian sciences globally and making them commercially lucrative. Such events also help in resolutely establishing these science as a part of India’s heritage. At a time when the entire global discourse is centred around climate change and sustainable development, Indian traditional sciences provide effective solutions that are sustainable, natural, and environmentally friendly, he added.

The Videsh Bhavan is an integrated office of the MEA and houses its Branch Secretariat, Regional Passport Office, Protectorate of Emmigrants, and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.

FILMING TO BEGIN FROM AUGUST 25 IN LONDON

Mumbai: Every year the third Sunday of June is dedicated to fathers all around the world in many countries including India. ‘Father’s Day’ is celebrated to show respect and cherish the father figures in one’s life.

The narration of on screen fathers’ with various shades has won the hearts of cine-goers. Hollywood actor Will Smith won the Best Actor trophy at this year Oscars for his flawless portrayal in “King Richard”. The last edition of Filmfare Awards in 2021 saw the late Irrfan Khan being posthumously elected as the Best Actor for his sensitive, yet hilarious portrayal of doting father in “Angrezi Medium”. Versatile, talented and award-winning actor Rajpal Yadav a.k.a Rajpal Naurang Yadav has moved towards content driven movies that revolve around social issues. He has now joined hands with passionate filmmaker Apoorva Vyas to play a unique and interesting role of a father – the main protagonist in an international film titled “Father On Sale”. The film set in the backdrop of London is being made in Hindi/English languages.

Apart from regional feature films, he had also added to his repertoire few award-winning short films and ad commercials.

Speaking about his upcoming film, Apoorva Vyas states, ”Father On Sale is the story of a father, the head of the family who is a mirror image of sacrifice.  The story and screenplay has all the commercial abilities with a well-defined mass appeal that will enhance the narrative of this film. It is a universal moving subject and I am sure every father across the globe will easily connect with it”.

An Indo-British collaboration; the film which is also dedicated to the evergreen and charismatic actor Dev Anand, is being made under the banner of Signature Cinema Makers and Indiam Global Entertainment. The UK producers are Kay Ajula and Jas Jutla. A 60-day shooting schedule will be held in the exotic and picturesque locales of London and other places in UK from August 25 this year. Apart from Rajpal Naurang Yadav, Manoj Pahwa and Hemant Pandey play key roles in this film. Other Indian actors including a new girl are also under finalization. The film will also feature British actors in its ensemble of cast. Hollywood cinematographer Wood Brothers are being roped as the director of photography.

Shahid Mallya – Kavita Raam – Anurag Maurya renders the bhajans

It is said that music is a way to reach God. The journey to the Holy Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is an enthralling voyage. With “Mata Di’s” blessings, Jammu based Surinder Kumar Gupta who wanted to culminate this holy pilgrimage and also to mark the beginning of his entertainment odyssey with a devotional album on “Mata Vaishno Devi” has launched a music album.

On Monday, 13^th June 2022, music director Prakash Nar (a veteran and doyen for providing background score and jingles in all the languages since the last three decades) recorded two songs at Euphony Studio at Andheri (West) in Mumbai.

The spiritual songs were rendered by eminent singers Shahid Mallya, Kavita Raam and Anurag Maurya. The lyrics have been penned by Moti Sultanpuri and Tamanna Arora.

Speaking on the occasion producer Surinder Kumar Gupta says, “I am a resident from Jammu where I am a landlord as well as run a public school. I have been regularly commuting to Mumbai since the last 30 years. Here the glitter and glamour of the entertainment industry lured me too. I have been gearing up to embark on with something pious. Post pandemic I took a step forward and with the blessings of Vaishno Mata ji I launched my concern – Satyashanti Production and my debut venture with a devotional album and have tentatively titled it as Vaishno Mata Ke Bhajan”.

Gupta further adds, “We have recorded two bhajans. One is a solo in the male voice of Shahid Mallya and the other a duet in the voices of Kavita Raam and Anurag Maurya. We will soon add 3 or 4 more bhajans and have a complete bouquet which the listeners too will revere bhakti through music. We will also film these bhajans at the exotic locales of Jammu and Mumbai and release it in the coming 2/3 months.”

The poems have a variety and are a tribute to ‘Suhagans’ states lyricist Moti Sultanpuri.  He further shares, “O Meri Maang Sada…..” is a duet sung by Kavita Raam and Anurag Maurya. The other one is “Laal Hari Neeli Peeli….is a solo sung by Shahid Mallya.” Highlighting his journey which he began in 2012 with a T-Series’ devotional album “Sai Yogiraj” and had the privilege of writing lyrics for Aggam Kumar Nigam, Javed Ali, Shabaab Sabri, Tisha Nigam, Mamta Sharma amongst many others. Apart from writing songs he has also scripted a couple of serials which is a comedy and a family drama to be aired shortly.

Anurag Maurya has more than 40 songs to his credits which include devotional as well as films. His recently released single album “Bezubaan Sa” has crossed 1 million views. There is another single album with Alka Yagnik in the pipeline. He has also got an opportunity to also provide musical score for a film “Malishka – The Mystery” featuring Rajpal Yadav and Gurleen Chopra and also in few web series.

Music director Prakash Nar has provided background score for more than 100 films in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and Bhojpuri languages. The recent Marathi films include “Email Female”, “Subway” and “Bindas Jeevan”. “3 Shahane” in Hindi was recently released. He even made jingles for commercials.

Durga Singh is the line producer and Ashok Anchan is the PRO of this devotional and pious album.

She also designed jewellery and several outfits for the 2021 Miss Universe Pageant Titleholder Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu, and she proudly wore DDC designs during her homecoming in India, USA, Indonesia, and Philippines. Anjali’s outfits were also showcased on the 2021 and 2022 Cannes Film Festival red carpet and New York Fashion Week shows. उत्तरप्रदेश की राजधानी लखनऊ के रहने वाले प्रोड्यूसर रुहिल जयसवाल व अवनी जयसवाल एक सच्ची घटना से प्रेरित फिल्म “ऑपरेशन अक्साई चिन” बनाने जा रहे हैं, जिसमें  रंजीत और विक्रम गोखले जैसे लिजेंड्री एक्टर्स नजर आएंगे। देशभक्ति के जज़्बे से भरी इस यूनिक फ़िल्म का पोस्टर लांच मुम्बई के फाइव स्टार होटल जे डब्लू मेरिएट में पिछले दिनों किया गया, जहां रंजीत, विक्रम गोखले, मुन्ना भाई एमबीबीएस फेम ऎक्टर कुरुष देबू और निर्देशक शुभांशु सत्यदेव मौजूद थे।

निर्माता रुहिल जयसवाल ने बताया कि भारत और चीन के फौजी गैलवान घाटी में आमने सामने रहे हैं, जिस जगह पे चीन के फौजी बैठे हैं वह अक्साई चिन हिंदुस्तान का था। भारत के इस हिस्से पर चीन ने कब्जा कर लिया है। इस मुद्दे पर कई बार झड़पें हुईं, हमारे कई जवान शहीद भी हुए हैं, चीनी सैनिक भी मारे गए।इस घटना ने मुझे इमोशनल भी किया है और क्रोधित भी, इसी घटना पर आधारित हिंदी फिल्म “ऑपरेशन अक्साई चिन” मैं बनाने जा रहा हूँ।

आरके सिल्वर क्रिएशन और सत्या एंटरटेनमेंट के बैनर तले बन रही फिल्म “अक्साई चिन” में रंजीत, परीक्षित साहनी, विक्रम गोखले, हेमंत पाण्डेय और कुरुष देबू सहित कई कलाकार नजर आएंगे।

लिजेंड्री ऎक्टर रंजीत ने बताया कि प्रोड्यूसर रुहिल जयसवाल और डायरेक्टर शुभांशु सत्यदेव का शुक्रगुजार हूं कि उन्होंने मेरे बारे में सोचा कि इस फ़िल्म में मेरे लिए कोई जगह है। आपको बताऊं कि फिल्मों में आने से पहले मैं एयर फोर्स में था। मैं बहुत खुश और उत्साहित हूं कि मैं इस तरह की देशभक्ति भरी फ़िल्म में काम करने जा रहा हूँ।

विक्रम गोखले ने बताया कि मैं फ़िल्म ऑपरेशन अक्साई चिन के निर्माता निर्देशक को ढेर सारी शुभकामनाएं देना चाहता हूं।  हमें यह याद रखना चाहिए कि सबसे पहले सोल्जर्स उसके बाद किसान और उसके बाद हमसब हैं। मैं फ़िल्म के प्रोड्यूसर डायरेक्टर को धन्यवाद देना चाहूंगा कि उन्होंने मुझे इस फ़िल्म में चीफ ऑफ आर्मी का किरदार अदा करने के लिए कास्ट किया।

निर्मात्री अवनी जयसवाल ने बताया कि इस फ़िल्म के द्वारा हम यह दिखाने जा रहे हैं कि हमारे फौजी किस तरह अपनी पर्सनल लाइफ को त्याग कर अपने देश और देशवासियों के लिए बॉर्डर पर तैनात रहते हैं और अपनी जान की कुर्बानी दे देते हैं। यह आम जनता की आंख खोलने वाली फिल्म होगी।

निर्माता रुहिल जयसवाल ने आगे कहा कि मैं रंजीत, विक्रम गोखले जैसे सीनियर एक्टर्स  का शुक्रिया अदा करता हूँ कि वे हमारी इस फ़िल्म का हिस्सा बनने के लिए तैयार हुए। मुझे उम्मीद है कि निर्देशक एक अच्छी फिल्म बनाएंगे जो दर्शकों के दिलों को छुएगी।

डायरेक्टर शुभांशु सत्यदेव ने बताया कि जल्द ही यह फ़िल्म फ्लोर पर जाएगी। फ़िल्म के तमाम एक्टर्स ने हमें बहुत सपोर्ट किया है
