Sandip Soparrkar, is one name that needs no introduction. We all know how he is ruling the world of dance for decades. He is known for his charming personality and excellent dancing and acting skills as well as good looks. But have you seen his son Arjun? Looks like we have another Sandip in the making.

This father son duo walked the ramp as showstopper for the grand finale of India Kids Fashion Week season 8, powered by Club Mahindra for Designer Avira, which was choreographed by Shakir Shaikh. Both Sandip and Arjun wore identical black tuxedo making their walk further charming. 10 years ago in the year 2012 they both had walked as showstoppers for the same India Kids Fashion Week held in Mumbai.

While talking to Media Sandip Soparrkar Said, “Walking as a Showstopper with my son Arjun was absolutely special to me at the same time very nostalgic as well, when Arjun was 7 years old we were on the same ramp and today he is 17 years old. Just see how time flies and how fast kids grow.”

Indeed, Arjun did look dapper as a show-stopper at India Kids Fashion show and Sandip was nothing less but proud of his teenage son who is all set to take on the world with his suave personality.

Nowadays the theme considered in the movie has widened its outlook. The film maker just don’t want entertainment to give to the viewers, but much beyond that. They want a theme in the movie that would make the viewer say in excitement that ‘Yes, this is it!’. This is worth watching with family, that will generally widens the child perspective. The child will not just entertained him in those 3 hours of movie, but also be inspired by the movie and he would hence try to have new move in his life. Cinema has a huge impact on people and children. We try to imitate what is portrayed in the reel life in our real life.

Marathi Movie Kaanbhatt is a great movie, seriously an inspiring slot. This is the kind of movie that can be view by everyone, regardless of the age. The movie beautifully captures the life of a young boy ‘Prabhat’, who follows his dream and desire, but destiny has some other plans for him for which he went on a different path. The story depicts the relationship between Ved and Science. He was great strugglers in his life. The movie has portrayed a beautiful lesson to everyone that every child  is different and have different needs in this world.

On the Otherside recently Filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar released the trailer of upcoming Marathi Movie “Nay Varan Bhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha”.

The trailer of this film itself seems to indicate that such a low-quality art may not have been produced in the history of Marathi cinema. Its trailer shows absolutely incorrect scenes and dialogues about the women and children of mill labourers. We wonder if it is the same Mahesh Manjrekar who has played the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the film ‘Mi Shivaji Raje Bhosale Boltoy’ and raised the self-esteem of Maharashtrians. There are many things such as filthy abuses, juvenile delinquency, obscene scenes with children in the trailer. After watching the trailer, people all over the country including Maharashtra are expressing intense rage. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, the National Commission for Women and the State Commission for Women (Maharashtra) have also objected to the film and demanded action from the Central Board of Film Certification and the Police.

Commenting on this Producer and Director Aparana S Hosing Said, “Marathi cinema is known for its content based movies. This industry has received appreciation when trying different, rarely it criticised as happening with mahesh manjrekar’s recent film. Wrong or right is debatable but a lot depends on trade and those who control the trade. A children film can range from child education to sexual abuse but trade it seems is more interested in Sexual and abusing content and the audience on the other hand support both while keeping an emotional connect with the first type. Kaanbhatt movie was Highly appreciated by family audience and international film festival, but not so warm acceptance by so called sitting on top of heirarchy in trade. It’s not just about director a lot depends on the commercial aspect of the film and we have to see through that also”.

We need More movie like Kaanbhatt to educate our Child.

17 January 2022, Kolkata: One of the oldest cathedrals of Kolkata, The Cathedral of the Most Holy Rosary, Burrabazar, founded on 1799 will install reliefs of St. Francis of Assisi which was put up as an exhibition during Xmas eve and inaugurated by Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee in the presence of Archbishop of Kolkata, Thomas D’Souza, Pro-Vicar of The Cathedral of the Most Holy Rosary, the Police Commissioner, Mr Soumen Mitra, Industrialist, Promode Kumar Agarwal, Dr Ralf Heckner, Swiss Ambassador in India, Mr Umesh Chowdhary, Swiss Honorary Consul in Kolkata, Mr Subrata Ganguly of creative design firm Church Art and other dignitaries.

The pictorial displays have been conceptualised and created by Kolkata-based creative design firm Church Art and depicts the life of St. Francis of Assisi – the Patron Saint of Environment and the originator of the tradition of cribs. The reliefs would be installed in the Cathedral premises to inspire and motivate people to love and protect Mother Earth.

“This year we observed a Green Christmas in Kolkata to spread environmental awareness and practice in daily life the conservation of nature and its resources,” said Fr Franklin Menezes, Pro-Vicar of The Cathedral of the Most Holy Rosary, Burrabazar, Kolkata.

A crib set, often described as a `nativity scene’, was also on display at the Cathedral. A crib, is a depiction of the birth of Jesus as described in the gospels of Matthew and Luke. The origin of the Christmas Crib or Manger or Nativity scene is often first ascribed to Saint Francis of Assisi, who, in 1223 AD, celebrated the `Feast of the Nativity’ in a new way that led to a new devotional practice popular even today.

Nativity scenes exhibit figures representing the infant Jesus, his mother Mary, and Joseph. Other characters from the nativity story such as shepherds, the Magi, and angels may be displayed near the manger. Distinctive nativity scenes and traditions have been created around the world and are displayed during the Christmas season in churches, homes, shopping malls, and other venues, and occasionally on public places and in public buildings.

The Vatican has displayed a scene in St. Peter’s Square near its Christmas tree since 1982 and the Pope has for many years blessed the mangers of children assembled in St. Peter’s Square for a special ceremony. In July 2015, the first ever crib set depicting Jesus’ birth from India, designed by Kolkata-based creative firm Church Art, was added to the International Nativity Museum of Bethlehem’s collection of 223 nativity representations from over 93 countries. Church Art has installed various art work across India and abroad based on Church and Biblical themes in line with the canon law.

The International Nativity Museum in Bethlehem, a UNESCO Heritage Site, is currently located close to the Church of Bethlehem which is considered to be the spot where Jesus was born. Local lore passed down from ancient times holds that the three travellers or Magi who were guided by a star had passed through this path where the International Nativity Museum now stands.

History tells us that St. Francis of Assisi was inspired by his visit to the Holy Land in 1219 where he had been shown Jesus’ traditional birthplace. It was in 1223 that the first crèche was celebrated in the woods of Greccio near Assisi, on Christmas Eve. St. Francis’ idea of bringing Bethlehem into one’s own town spread quickly all over the Christian world, and soon after the death of Francis in 1226 there were Christmas cribs in churches and homes. The home crib became popular in Catholic Europe after 1600, owing, it is said, to the efforts of the Capuchins.

Mumbai. Bollywood film director Dr. Krishna Chauhan organized a grand ceremony of Bollywood Legend Award 2021 on 12th December at Mayor Hall, Juhu, Mumbai under KCF. This was the third year of this award.

Music composers Anu Malik, Andheri Versova MLA Bharti Lavekar, Deepa Narayan Jha, Ehsan Qureshi, Raza Murad, Arun Bakshi, Anil Nagrath, Lyricist Sudhakar Sharma, Alka Bhatnagar (Singer UK), KK Goswami, Prema Kiran, Dr. Parin Somani (UK), Shyamlal (Bhayya ji smiles in the movie Dabangg), Lyricist Zeenat Ehsan Qureshi, Rupal Mohta (Mrs India Universe), Producer Mukesh Gupta and Yogesh Lakhani of Bright Outdoor Media, Dr. Praveen Bhalerao were awarded by Dr. Krishna Chauhan with the trophy.

Ritu Pathak, the singer of Jalebi Bai song, was also honored with the Bollywood Legend Award, along with many other awards from her hands. Ritu Pathak also sang the song on stage.

Lady Inspector Priyatma Muthe was given the award at the hands of Raza Murad.

In the program, Ruby Ahmed presented dance performance, as well as actress Seema Suryavanshi also added a tadka to the dance.

Noida: “This is the 10^th year we have planned an international Documentary Film Festival under the banner of Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2022. We could not do much last year because of Pandemic but now we have overcome the difficulties. This year documentary film festival will go international way,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts in a joint meeting to announce 10^th Edition of Documentary Film Festival.

“Global Festival of Journalism Noida has already emerged as the most exclusive festival of the World. Earlier documentary film festival used to be the part of three days celebration of this journalism festival, but now even documentary film festival has grown big and expanding as a separate identity.,” said Dr. Sushil Bharti newly appointed Festival Director for IDFFN.

“International Journalism Centre has suggested to give more time to film makers to submit their documentaries. The last date of submitting the documentaries is going to be 31^st March. Some very valuable awards are being planned for the winners. There will be also a participating certificate for every film,” added Ashok Tyagi Director of Global Film Festival Noida & Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh.

The festival will be presented by International Journalism Centre and is supported by AAFT School of Mass Communication & Journalism, International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, AAFT University of Media and Arts, International Film and Television Club, International Film and Television Research Centre, International Public Broadcasting Forum and many other National and International associations.

 

10th International Documentary Film Festival Noida 2022 Announced

The opening ceremony of the 6^th edition of the Sahayog Contemporary Art Exhibition, showcasing over 100 artworks from 40 veteran and young artists at the iconic Jehangir Art Gallery, Kala Ghoda, was a low-key yet spectacular affair. Besides organiser-artist Satyendra Rane and the participating artists, the evening saw in attendance celebrated artist Prabhakar Kolte, Surendra Jagtap – Principal J K Academy of Art and Design and art curator Ajoykaant Ruia who is also the President of the Indo-Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce.

Sahayog Contemporary Art Exhibition is an annual cultural forum that is now in its sixth year. Known to showcase a mind-blowing variety of mesmerising artworks, this year organiser-artist Satyendra Rane has handpicked 40 talented artists from across the country to captivate your mind. Being held at the Jehangir Art Gallery from 11th-17th January, 2022, the art show cuts across media in paintings to bring water colour, oil, acrylic, pencil, Tanjavur, and collage together, and in sculptures to include works in brass, bronze, wood, stone—all under one roof. A portion of the sale proceeds will be donated to Alert Citizen Forum (ACF), a government-recognised Mumbai-based NGO.

This year’s exhibit includes participation from veteran and young artists alike. “The art ecosystem,” feels Satyendra Rane, “is geared to favour established artists, and for us at Sahayog, it has always been important to fill this gap by providing a platform that would give unknown faces and talents a chance to shine alongside the known ones. Sung by the uber-talented and charismatic Shivangi Sharma and co-produced by See Saw Entertainment. Roshni is a Hindi romantic song, i.e., bound to leave you with butterflies inside. Shivangi said that she was thrilled with the fantastic response her song, Roshni, has received so far. It has been a long journey – one that started nearly ten years back. She takes immense pride in her journey and accomplishment and is grateful for all her found support. She had always thought of herself as an introvert, and it was the stage that made her realise her potential. Today, she has done shows globally in places like the US, Europe, and Singapore. Of all the people she has worked with, she is most grateful to Aslam Khan, who was critical in getting her a break in the industry and first major hit in “Sexy Saiyaan.” She has worked with legendary singers like Daler Mehndi and Arijit Singh, and Rahul Vaidya continues to be her frequent collaborator. She enjoys interacting with her fans and considers their feedback a major source of motivation to continue doing what she is doing.
