Having gained unique access to the most sophisticated guns and military technology for a global superpower, 27-year old Uday Singh launched his YouTube GUN TOUR channel, showcasing everything from tanks, armoured vehicles, firearms, jets and other military equipment and engineering.
The channel shows you how to shoot at the latest greatest Kalashnikov guns, drive in the Armageddon BMP-3 tank, train with a paramilitary in bootcamp, as well as experience some non-military tech like flying in a private 2-seater jet at 5G and skydiving.
The host and founder of the channel, Mr. Singh, comes from an Indian military family and shares his inspiration. “I grew up in a military family – most of my Uncles and grand Uncles were in the Indian army. I loved shooting beer bottles in my farmhouse and am fascinated with military equipment.”
Uday, who hails from Chandigarh, completed his Bachelor’s degree in Moscow and remained there afterwards. He explained the birth of the channel, “People are fascinated by military equipment and engineering – my friends and I thought there’s a unique opportunity to showcase that in a YouTube channel. Amazingly, when we reached out to manufacturers, they were open to making it happen – and so Gun Tour was born! We’ve had some crazy experiences during our shoots, risking everything to get crazy angles and footage.”
The channel goes beyond just the engineering and technology.  Uday explains, “I studied here and love the country, so I travel to discover new places, try exotic food, meet interesting people and have a lot of fun. That’s an inspiring cultural experience that I’m glad to share with my homeland.”
The channel went live in December and has already gained a global following and over 50,000 views, bringing viewers on a journey through an adrenaline-fueled world.  Join us as we showcase the best of what this region has to offer, and discover something new and exciting with every episode.

If Ustad were a man, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan or Akshay Kumar would have died to play his role! Sadly, Ustad was only our national animal, a tiger, and hence labelled a man-eater and sentenced to a solitary life away from his mate and children.
Warren Pereira organized a talk on his award-winning documentary with environmentalist Bittu Sahgal, Green Footprint Ambassador of Make Earth Green Again MEGA Foundation Rupali Suri and Earth Activist Dr Anusha Srinivasan Iyer. The documentary, titled, Tiger 24 follows the path of the tiger Ustad through an unimaginable journey respite with heroism, romance, action and a rollercoaster of emotions.
India’s most awaited wildlife documentary, Warren Pereira’s Tiger 24, in the theatres as a limited release, can change the future of tiger conservation in India. Mumbai’s AA Films has picked up India theatrical rights of the film which has been released in theaters and digital platforms in North America but now comes home to India. At the Jaipur International Film Festival, the film was lauded and awarded, and now entices audiences to traverse the journey of Tiger 24, a wild tiger who kills men who enter his territory, then being declared a man-eater and locked up in a zoo. This galvanizes massive social uproar and activists to take their cause to the streets, online, on billboards and all the way to the High Court and Supreme Court.
Tiger 24 has earlier won the Panda Award at the 2022 Wildscreen Festival and was a finalist at the 2022 Jackson Wild Media Awards, where previous winners include My Octopus Teacher. The film also claimed Best Documentary at the 2022 Burbank International Film Festival. Pereira served as the film’s Director and Producer, with The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Jeremy Bell exec producing alongside Eagle Egilsson, Howard Barish, Zach Mann and Stephen Nemeth.
Pereira’s past work has garnered top accolades, including the Cannes Gold Lion, and has been showcased at top international film festivals. Clients under his production company W Films include The Royal Bank of Scotland, Spectrum, Tissot, NBA, Hpnotiq, The Wall Street Journal and agencies such as DDB and CAA. Additionally, Pereira founded The Tiger Fund LLC, which produces content related to tiger conservation, including films for the government of India. The filmmaker is currently in post-production on the feature-length doc The Bamera Tiger, and is at the same time developing a horror pic entitled Scarebnb and the darkly comic thriller, Double Bite.

Mumbai-based documentary photographer Padma Shri Sudharak Olwe’s Firefly, an exhibition of photographs, artefacts and performance, on ‘Lavani’ – a traditional dance form of Maharashtra opened at the Nine Fish Art Gallery in Byculla, Mumbai.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Vidya Balan, with attendees including celebrities, artists, journalists and curators alike, including Parvez Damania, Anup Jalota, Rupali Suri, Niharica Raizada, Vilas Shinde and Pablo Bartholomew among others.
The 45 photographs that are documented over 20 years by Sudharak Olwe attempt to capture the ‘lavanya’ (beauty), struggles and journey of the social lives of these folk artistes and look beyond the popular perception of the traditional dance form. “I want to share their art and life in my photos,” elaborated Sudharak, who still continues to document the Lavani artistes.
More about Sudharak Olwe, who has been marking a new global space for Indian photography, with exhibitions in Malmo (Sweden), Lisbon, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Washington, Dhaka, Mumbai and Delhi among others. Olwe is known for his extraordinary work capturing in both rural and urban communities, presenting tales of resilience, courage, and change. In 2005, Olwe was one of the four awardees for National Geographic’s “All Roads Photography Program: In 2016, he received the Padma Shri, one of highest civilian awards awarded by the Government of India.
In the current exhibition, Sudharak Olwe’s timeless frames pay a tribute to this traditional art form that has contributed tremendously to the development of Marathi folk theatre. Prominent Lavani traditional folk artistes from Solapur were honoured at the event, the Lavani artistes shared their stories through their energetic performance as well. The proceeds helped the education of children of Lavani dancers.
Along with the photographs by Sudharak Olwe, artefacts curated by Gourmoni Das are also on display.
For the uninitiated, ‘Lavani’ is a traditional dance form that originated in Maharashtra in the 18th and 19th centuries. Lavani is performed on public stage, and is a performative tradition practiced by a certain set of communities consisting of interactive gestures, and songs and noted for its biting dialogues often toned with socio-political satire; the dancers are always agile and attentive to the audience’s reactions.
The exhibition was presented by Nine Fish Art Gallery & Dot Line Space Art Foundation.

भारतातील प्रख्यात बॉक्सर मेरी कॉमने मुंबईतील द अॅक्टर प्रीपेअर्स येथे ‘शिव शास्त्री बल्बोआ’ चित्रपटाचे पोस्टर केले लाँच. या चित्रपटात अनुपम खेर, नीना गुप्ता, जुगल हंसराज, नर्गिस फाखरी, शरीब हाश्मी असे नामवंत कलाकार असून हा एका सामान्य माणसाच्या असामान्य साहसाचा प्रेरणादायी चित्रपट आहे.

अनुपम खेर आणि मेरी कोम  दोघेही एकमेकांचे उत्कट प्रशंसक आहेत. दोघेही  अभिनय आणि बॉक्सिंगबद्दल बोलले. मेरी कोमने अनुपम खेर यांना बॉक्सिंगमधील काही टिप्स शिकवल्या. त्यानंतर या दोघांची रिंगमध्ये मॉक मॅचही झाली.

अनुपम खेर म्हणतात, मेरी कोमचा वैयक्तिक साधेपणा, तिचे हास्य आणि तिच्या निर्विवाद नम्रपणामुळे मी स्तब्ध झालो आहे. “जे मोठ्याने हसतात ते नेहमी चांगल्या मनाचे असतात. मी मेरी कोमची नेहमीच प्रशंसा करीत आलो आहे, पण आज तिच्या नम्रतेने मी भारावून गेलो आहे. ती खरी चॅम्पियन आहे.”

अनुपम खेर पुढे म्हणाले, “शिव शास्त्री बालबोआ हा एक वेगळा चित्रपट आहे, अमेरिकेत भेटणाऱ्या दोन अनोळखी व्यक्तींची आणि त्यांच्या आयुष्याला नंतर मिळणाऱ्या नव्या वळणाची कथा यात आहे.  हा एक प्रेरक प्रवास आहे.”

अनुपम खेर पुढे म्हणतात, “नीना गुप्ता एक उत्तम अभिनेत्री तर आहेच ती एक चांगली व्यक्तीही आहे. चित्रपटात शारिब हाश्मी एका चांगल्या भूमिकेत दिसणार असून जुगल हंसराजही बर्या च दिवसांनी चित्रपटात दिसणार आहे. नर्गिस फाखरीही एका अत्यंत वेगळ्या आणि चांगल्या भूमिकेत या चित्रपटात दिसणार आहे. चित्रपटाचे दिग्दर्शन अजयन वेणुगोपालन यांनी केले आहे. त्यांनी यापूर्वी ‘मेट्रो पार्क’ या मालिकेचे दिग्दर्शन केलेले आहे.”

मैरी कॉम ने लॉन्च किया अनुपम खेर की फ़िल्म ‘शिव शास्त्री बालबोआ’ के पोस्टरों को लॉन्च

जानी मानी बॉक्सर मैरी कॉम ने अनुपम खेर स्टारर फ़िल्म ‘शिव शास्त्री बालबोआ’ के पोस्टरों को आज मुम्बई के अंधेरी स्थित ‘एक्टर् प्रीपेरस’ में लॉन्च किया.  एक साधारण व्यक्ति की असाधारण रोमांच यात्रा पर आधारित इस फ़िल्म में अनुपम खेर, नीना गुप्ता, जुगल हंसराज, नरगिस फ़ाखरी और शारिब हाशमी मुख्य भूमिकाओं में नज़र आएंगे.

अनुपम खेर और मैरी कॉम दोनों एक लम्बे अर्से से एक-दूसरे के प्रशंसक रहे हैं. ऐसे में फ़िल्म के पोस्टरों के लॉन्च के दौरान दोनों ने एक-दूसरे के काम और शख़्सियत की ख़ूब तारीफ़ और एक्टिंग से लेकर बॉक्सिंग तक हर विषय पर मज़ेदार बातें कीं. इतना ही नहीं, मैरी कॉम ने अनुपम खेर को बॉक्सिंग के गुर भी सिखाए और अनुपम खेर ने इन गुरों को सीखने की शिद्दत से कोशिश भी की. दोनों ने हंसते-खेलते हुए एक दूसरे के साथ मॉक मैच का मज़ा भी लिया.

इस ख़ास मौके पर अनुपम खेर ने  अपनी ख़ुशी बयां करते हुए कहा, “बॉक्सिंग के खेल में एक ऊंचा ओहदा रखनेवाली और करोड़ों दिलों में बसनेवाली मैरी कॉम द्वारा मेरी फ़िल्म के पोस्टरों को लॉन्च किये जाने से बढ़कर मेरे लिए और कोई ख़ुशी की बात नहीं हो सकती है. उन्होंने मेरी तारीफ़ करते हुए काफ़ी उदारता दिखाई. वे तेज़ गति से खेले जानेवाले खेल को पसंद करती हैं और उन्हें ऐड फ़िल्मों के रीटेक्स से चिढ़ है. इसे वो बहुत सहजता के साथ कबूलती भी हैं. मैरी कॉम भारत की शान हैं.”

उल्लेखनीय है कि अनुपम खेर 6 बार वर्ल्ड बॉक्सिंग चैम्पियन रह चुकी मैरी कॉम की विनम्रता, सहजता और उनकी निश्चल हंसी से बेहद प्रभावित नज़र आए. अनुपम खेर ने कहा, “जो लोग दिल खोलकर ज़ोर ज़ोर से हंसते हैं, उनका दिल बड़ा ख़ूबसूरत होता है. मैं हमेशा से मैरी कॉम का प्रशंसक रहा हूं मगर आज उनकी विन्रमता देखकर मैं पूरी तरह से पिघल गया. सही मायनों में वो एक चैम्पियन हैं.”

अनुपम खेर ने आगे कहा, “शिव शास्त्री बोलबोआ एक बेहद रोमांचकारी फ़िल्म है जिसमें दिखाया गया है कि कैसे अमेरिका में दो अनजान शख़्स की मुलाक़ात होती है और फिर दोनों की ज़िंदगी हमेशा हमेशा के लिए बदल जाती है. यह फ़िल्म ना सिर्फ़ आपको हंसाएगी, आपका मनोरंजन करेगी, बल्कि यह आपको सोचने पर मजबूर करने के साथ साथ आपको प्रेरित भी ख़ूब करेगी. फ़िल्म में एक ख़ूबसूरत कुत्ता भी एक अहम रोल में नज़र आएगा जिसका नाम कैप्सूल रखा गया है. ग़ौरतलब है कि फ़िल्म में दिखाया गया है कि कैसे कुत्ता हरेक बात पर अपनी राय रखता है और उसकी सोच  एक बड़े ही अनूठे अंदाज़ में दर्शकों तक पहुंचती है.”

अपने साथी कलाकारों के बारे में बातें करते हुए अनुपम खेर कहते हैं, “नीना गुप्ता एक बेहद उम्दा कलाकर और बेहतरीन इंसान हैं. फ़िल्म में शारिब हाशमी एक बेहद अलहदा किस्म के रोल में नज़र आएंगे. जुगल हंसराज एक लम्बे अर्से बाद सिनेमा के पर्दे पर वापसी करने जा रहे हैं तो वहीं नरगिस फ़ाखरी एक बेहद ख़ूबसूरत किरदार में नज़र आएंगे. अजयन वेणुगोपलन ने हमारी फ़िल्म को बहुत ही बढ़िया ढंग से डायरेक्ट किया है. इससे पहले वो ‘मेट्रो पार्क’ नामक सीरीज़ बना चुके हैं.”

MC Mary Kom unveiled the posters of Shiv Shastri Balboa, an inspirational film of a common man with uncommon adventures starring Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Jugal Hansraj, Nargis Fakhri, Sharib Hashmi at Actor Prepares.

Anupam Kher and Mary Kom, both ardent admirers of each other, spoke of acting and boxing. Mary Kom taught Kher a few moves that he religiously learnt and even sparred with Mary Kom in a mock match with a friendly ring!

The harvest festival is celebrated with pomp and show across the country. It is a fun-filled annual celebration that people avidly wait for. Traditional sweets, winter delicacies, bonfires, festivities, kite flying, rangolis, and unlimited fun and frolic with friends and family characterize the festival. It is one of the cultural celebrations that has stayed authentic over the years and has not got adulterated with modernization. Ms Nidarshana Gowani who is a strong believer in rich culture and traditions, upholds this tradition every year and organizes community celebrations that help people enjoy the festival. This year, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti she organized a kite flying for kids and sweets and savouries for all attendees.

The fun-filled event was a grand success and was attended by eminent personalities such as Urvashi Dholakia who was the chief guest at the event. Urvashi handed out prizes to the winners of the kite flying competition and the best-dressed women at the event. The criteria to be eligible for the prize of ‘best-dressed woman’ was to be dressed in traditional Maharashtrian attire. It was a great event full of traditional and festive vibes. Sumita Suman Singh, the spokesperson of BJP and Gazala Pathan also attended the event.

The event organized at the Worli police ground attracted people from various walks of life and was a grand success. The amazing celebration can be attributed to the efforts of Ms Nidarshana Gowani. It speaks highly of her commitment to culture and traditions. She also said that children need to learn about the importance of traditions and need to be connected to their needs. In a time when modern toys have replaced traditional joys like kite flying, children need to be connected to the rich past that their ancestors dwelled in.
