Jai Sanatan Cinema has announced an exciting new web series titled Baba Neeb Karori… Mauni Maa featuring Jitendra Singh (Sabu) in the lead role as Neeb Karori Baba and Navni Parihar as Mouni MaaThe series promises to offer a captivating portrayal of the revered Hindu guru whose teachings have influenced countless lives both in India and abroad. The recording for the series’ soundtrack, featuring renowned singer Mujtaba Aziz Naza, took place today at Studio Space in Andheri, Mumbai. Neeb Karori Baba, also known to his followers as ‘Maharaj-ji’, was a Hindu guru and a devotee of the Hindu deity Hanuman. He gained international recognition for being the spiritual master of numerous Americans who traveled to India in the 1960s and 1970s, including spiritual teachers Ram Dass and Bhagavan Das, and musicians Krishna Das and Jai Uttal. His teachings emphasized simplicity, devotion, and service, leaving a lasting impact on his followers worldwide.

Speaking about his role, Jitendra Singh (Sabu) shared, “Portraying Neeb Karori Baba is a privilege, honour and responsibility. His life and teachings have touched so many hearts, and our goal is to bring his story to life in a way that resonates with people today. We hope to inspire and enlighten viewers through this series.”

The series is being produced under the banner of Jai Sanatan Cinema Pvt Ltd, with Jitendra Singh and Bishnu Mishra serving as producers and co-producers Ankit Raathi and Anita Singh. Helmed by director Jitendra Singh (Sabu), who also stars as Neeb Karori Baba, the creative direction and editing are managed by Prince. The story, screenplay, and dialogues are crafted by Dilip Mishra and Jitendra Singh, ensuring a deep and authentic representation of Neeb Karori Baba’s life. Bollywood’s renowned choreographer Sandip Soparrkar dazzled audiences at V Lounge and Deck in Malad as he celebrated World Dance Day with a spectacular showcase of talent. The event was a mesmerizing blend of captivating performances and star-studded guests.

Soparrkar, known for his masterful choreography in Bollywood films, took the stage alongside the beautiful actress Shanthi Priya, captivating the audience with their rendition of the timeless song “Tere Bina Zindagi Se Koi Shikwa Toh Nahi.” Their performance was a testament to Soparrkar’s creativity and grace of Shanthi.

DIL DA JANI Song Directed By The Talented Abhishek Singh, A Project By Sushil Pandey And Zqe Pictures Production

The first ever Boonie Bears film released in India clearly shows why the global animation franchisee is universally loved and adored by children. It has entertainment & endearing characters coupled with effective animation effects.

Boonie Bears : Guardian Code is about two bear cubs, Briar (Patrick Freeman) and his brother Bramble (Joseph S Lambert) cannot understand why their mother abandoned them during a fire in the Pine Tree forest (Crystal Peaks). As they grow up without their mother, Briar becomes a cynic and suspects everything while Bramble is optimistic with hope and faith. They keep searching for answers till they get some information about her when their friend Vick (Paul ‘Maxx’ Rinehart) takes them to a robot research institute. They meet a young scientist, Charlotte (Olivia Seaton-Hill), who has a necklace that belonged to their mother. And then starts their entertaining adventure.

The first half of the film is full of fun and frolic. Briar and Bramble pretend to be robots and this leads to several laugh out loud moments. Their encounter with a scary Scrap Rebel ‘gang’, with a mad leader Leonard (Chris Boike) is one of the best parts of the film. They have a face-off with villains consisting of bad scientists and robot-monsters. The battle between the bears and the bots is hilarious. The bears even discover an Android version of a mom and a fighter bear, Urusa (Kally Khourshid) on an island, who reminds them of their mother.

The animation and visual effects are good &  colourful. The voice over of the artistes syncs with the characters. The central theme song adds a nice dimension to the plot. The kids-friendly comedy and the action scenes featuring the bears will really make the viewers enjoy the film. The suspense right up to the climax will keep the audience glued.

The film is directed by Yongchang Lin &  Heqi Shao. The Voice for the main characters are provided by Patrick Freeman,Joseph Lambert, Kally Khourshid, Maxx Rinehart & others.

Question: How did the idea of making the film “Nanak Naam Jahaz Hai” come to your mind? “With the sudden entry of corporates into the film industry, about 90% of film producers in the film industry had to shut down their offices. Even producers who had made films with big stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Govinda, Ajay Devgan, and Akshay Kumar were also caught in the grip of corporates, and we were one of them.

When we started planning for a new film, we faced the daunting challenge of deciding which film to make that could serve as a strong foundation for us. Suddenly, the idea came to Maann Singh ji’s mind that if we were to get the title “Nanak Naam Jahaz Hai”, then what could be a bigger film than this? This is a name that dwarfs even big stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Ajay Devgan, Govinda, and Akshay Kumar.

It was Baba Nanak’s grace that we got the title of this holy name. I am telling you the truth that we hadn’t even dreamt that the biggest star of this world, or let’s say the most prestigious project, Baba Nanak Ji, would land in our lap. This title was not just a coincidence for us; it was a clear indication from Baba Nanak Ji that this film was meant only for us to make, otherwise why would we get this title?

Question: What was your first step after getting the title? I mean to say, this film’s title indicates that it’s a very sensitive subject, and if there’s even a slight mistake, the Sikh community might not tolerate it. “After getting this title, our responsibilities increased significantly. We tried to find a good story from many writers, but we were disappointed; we couldn’t find any story that could touch the heart.”

We started taking every step cautiously. Firstly, we learned the Punjabi language. After that, Maann Singh ji has many Sikh friends who have good knowledge of Baba Nanak Ji’s context. We formed a team with them and kept consulting them regularly and seeking their advice.

As we couldn’t find a story, we started feeling disheartened. Then Maann Singh ji suggested that since the story is scattered around you, you should gather it. Then I compiled those events that had happened with people by Baba’s grace. Honestly, this film is not just a film but a true expression of faith and belief. When you all watch this film, believe me, somewhere it will resonate with your own story or the story of your own people.

Question: Will you direct this film yourself? Was this not initially planned even after getting the title? I am asking this question because before this, you have Produced many big films, but all of those films had different directors?”

“I am telling you the truth, initially I didn’t plan to direct this film. After getting the title, we contacted several Punjabi directors, but after discussing with them, Maann Singh ji was not satisfied, and he decided that now I have to direct this film because I had written the entire script. I lived every scene moment by moment, engraved it in my heart, so the justice I can do with this film, perhaps no one else can. After Maann Singh ji’s decision, our significant responsibility began.”

Question: As a film producer, you have produced many big films, directed trend-setting TV serials like “Aashiana,” and also made several advertisement films. What made you feel the need to train under Hollywood legend director Martin Scorsese?

“Whatever I have achieved today is largely due to the immense contribution of my husband, Maann Singh ji, and my son, Vedant Singh. During the filmmaking process, both of them constantly boosted my morale, and it was with their encouragement that I was able to direct such a big film. My son suggested that before directing such an iconic film, I should join the academy of  Hollywood legend director Martin Scorsese so that I could understand the nuances of film direction deeply. Following my son’s advice, he enrolled me in Martin Scorsese’s academy, where I underwent six months of direction training.”

Question: When your script was complete, why did you have Mukesh Rishi, Vindu Dara Singh, Dolly Mattoo and Sardar Sohi in mind while selecting actors? Why not anyone else?

Noida, India — Setting a new benchmark, the 8th Global Fashion and Design Week hosted in Noida emerged as the largest event of its kind organized by an educational institution on a global scale. Over three days, the festival captivated an international audience with groundbreaking fashion and furniture designs, spearheaded by Festival President Sandeep Marwah, also the head of Marwah Studios.

The event was orchestrated by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry alongside AAFT School of Fashion and Design, AAFT School of Interior Design, and AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, drawing creative talents from 72 nations to partake in a celebration of diverse cultural artistry.

The festival featured a dynamic schedule of 90 runway shows with 200 designers unveiling more than 550 distinct garments. It also included four specialized exhibitions showcasing coffee table books, traditional Indian Suits & Sarees, a Photography Exhibition, and an array of 100 innovative furniture designs. Culinary arts were prominently featured with 9 food exhibitions representing the gastronomy of 20 countries, meticulously prepared by 700 experts over the course of three months. 

Drawing an impressive attendance of 23,000 people, the event was a gathering place for 250 esteemed personalities from the realms of fashion and design, including 20 Ambassadors and High Commissioners, thereby enriching the international appeal. The presence of a marching band from AAFT added a regal ambiance to the proceedings, which were broadcasted by 500 media outlets globally.

Photo artist Kabeer Ramesh offers yet another solo exhibition titled ‘Every Picture has a story…’, the previous being ‘Frozen in Time’, which was held at the prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai.  ‘Every Picture has a story…’,  exhibited at the ‘Nitya Artists Centre’, Prabhadevi, from 1^st May, 2024 onwards, grapples with, as the title suggests, human endeavours/stories in diverse and vivid contexts; these are photo-stories of promises and perils of being human: the glories and triumphs memorialised in monuments are juxtaposed with toiling workers in busy bazaar streets of Kolkata; the symbols of towering human achievements – the world famous the Taj Mahal and London Bridge – co-habit with the unease of forlorn ruins of the dilapidated and discarded. Interestingly, the idea of loners is presented in creatively imagined forms – the ‘lone stone’ of Shillong relentlessly standing up to vagaries of waters, and the unending wait of birds in summer of Rajasthan. The trees presented in Kabeer Ramesh’s work too depict the diverse meaning universe: the erratic desires of the colonising human, and the falling humanity supported by dried branches of the uprooted. The exhibition also offers noteworthy studies in perspective – the broad-ways and the marvel of the Howrah bridge – what appears as meeting may be illusive, and what is near maybe far.  The monuments in Kabeer’s work present an enigma: the famous Notre Dame cathedral in Paris lost its glorious treasures to the leaps of fire; so is the photograph of statue outside the Buckingham Palace, glorious yet stoic.

Kabeer Ramesh’s photographic imagery thus represents the indomitable human spirit, and also cautions against the unreasonable, erratic human desire to colonize. Importantly his works show that all human boundaries, all boundaries, are illusive,  porous and imaginary. One could easily cross over the meaning universe and find multiple meanings through acts and ways of seeing and looking, in varied times and spaces.

DCP Expeditions, India’s one of the fastest growing Photography Training Academy will be exhibiting its 9^thGrand Annual Photography Exhibition 2024, on 19^th,20^th and 21^stApril 2024 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm at Bombay Art Society situated at K. DCP Expedition’s 9th Grand Annual Photography Exhibition was inaugurated at the Bombay Art Society, Bandra, Mumbai on 19th April at 12:00 noon. Renowned photography Guru, Technical Editor of Smart Photography, Mr Rohinton Mehta inaugurated the occasion with words of great appreciation for the quality of the work by nearing 100 photographers from across the country who are exhibiting their work in the exhibit. The exhibition is open for all till 21st April 2024.

The exhibition carries with it a legacy of almost a decade, exhibiting astonishing creative photography by hundreds of photographers from across the country and also, from beyond the country borders. The platform aims at providing the talented photographers an exposure to a wider audience. The imagery involves several genres of photography starting from wildlife, birds, macro, landscapes, astro to travel, streets and food photography.

A total of 200breath taking images by 100 plus professional as well as amateur wildlife, nature, travel and food photographers from across India and abroad, will be displayed in two galleries.Photographs printed on Epson enhanced Matt papers and beautifully mounted in frames will glorify the galleries of Bombay Art Society for three days. The previous exhibitions conducted in the bygone years had immense success with nearing 5000 footfalls over 3 days. This year, the exhibition is optimistically looking forward towards over 7500 footfalls.

A non commercial group art exhibition showcasing the works of about 100 school children from preschool to 12^th standard have been displayed at Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery, Bajaj Bhavan, Nariman Point, Mumbai 400 021 from 12^th to 14^th April, 2024 between 11 am to 7 pm. This is the 4^th edition of group art exhibitions coordinated by Mr. Sohan Kumar Choudhary who is himself an artist having passed B.F.A. from Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai. Mumbai.  Dr. Krishna Chouhan, known as the emperor of award functions in Mumbai, organized a grand event of the third season of ‘Miss and Mrs. India and Nari Shakti Samman 2024’ on the occasion of Women’s Day at the Mayor Hall in Andheri West, a famous suburb of the metropolis.  In this award ceremony presented by KCF, those who have done remarkable work of social service and human service were honored.  Along with this, he has given a new direction to the society by excellently displaying his art and personality.

Many celebrities were present in this award ceremony organized by Dr. Krishna Chouhan, among whom the names of musician Dilip Sen, singer Deepa Narayan Jha (wife of Udit Narayan), BN Tiwari, former ACP Sanjay Patil, Bharti Chhabria and actor Ramesh Goyal and Keval Kumar from Media are notable.

The jury members of KCF Miss & Mrs India were Dr Deepa Narayan Jha, Nikki Batra, Dr Dr Bharti Chhabria, Prem Gada and Asanta Naskar Yadav.  The makeup of the models was done by Lata Solanki while the fashion designer was Kusum Gupta.
