 About Artist Madhavi Joshi                                                From time immemorial, numerous art forms emerged through man’s aesthetic adventure. Amongst them painting is one of the most creative art forms which uplifts the mind, life and soul towards the divine.

In the realm of art an artist always gets inspiration from the environment and entourage he lives in. Artist Madhavi Joshi  Engineer by qualification and Artist by passion graduated in Fine Arts Painting from  Pune University has a unique style depicting spiritual Indian mythological idols and Hindu iconography through her paintings .

She has exhibited her work through 25+ solo and  100+group exhibitions in famous galleries in India and abroad and achieved more than 10 awards.

In addition to this she has participated in numerous auctions and donated her paintings for charities.

Her series of paintings represents her artistic expression on the sanctity and relevance of numerous vignettes of Indian culture compared to their modern practices.

In her series – ‘The Divine Perception’ , she has inculcated various elements of nature, their symbols and iconography to impart visual effects of glory and transparency along with the memories of countries past heritage through impressive strokes .The relevance’s of various colours and symbols and their sanctity along with meditational hues are prominent in her work.

The artist’s work in her latest series ‘The Childhood stories’  is characterized by its thought-provoking narrative, which not only showcases the beauty of nostalgia but also addresses critical issues that demand our attention and empathy. Through her intriguing and engaging techniques, she manages to create a striking juxtaposition between the joys and the hardships of childhood, leaving a lasting impact on the viewer’s mind. This series serves as a testament to the power of art to convey complex emotions and to draw attention to important social issues in a visually captivating and emotionally resonant manner.

Relevance of vivid lines , geometrical figures , shapes and contours along with their colourful lines through the illuminations/brightness , light and shade and reflection effects in the apt arenas have together enhanced the visual perceptive levels in her creations which often amaze and mesmerises one and all by leaving an indelible impact on their  minds and souls.

She says that “nature is a wonderful art piece created by god –whether it is Earth ,Space,Universe,Living beings or divine natural powers are enough to ignite my imagination and inspire me to create and pursue my artistic journey.”

भुवनेश्वर, 19 नवंबर: संस्कृतियों की विविधता का जश्न मनाते हुए, KIIT स्टूडेंट एक्टिविटी सेंटर ने 19 नवंबर 2023 को छठ पूजा का आयोजन किया। बिहार में छठ पूजा एक बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण त्योहार है। लोग सूर्य देव की पूजा करते हैं और व्रत रखते हैं। उत्सव में प्रत्येक दिन संध्या अर्घ्य और प्रातः अर्घ पूजा शामिल होती है।

इस अवसर पर मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में शामिल होकर वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता एवं बार काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया के चेयरमैन मनन कुमार मिश्रा ने जश्न मनाया और छात्रों का उत्साहवर्धन किया। उन्होंने KIIT-DU के छात्रों को इस तरह के अवसर देने के लिए KIIT और KISS के संस्थापक डॉ. अच्युत सामंत को धन्यवाद दिया। साथ ही उन्होंने छात्रों के उज्ज्वल भविष्य की कामना की।

अपने स्वागत भाषण में डॉ. सामंत ने छठ पूजा में उनकी अनुशासित भागीदारी के लिए छात्रों को भी धन्यवाद दिया। अन्य अतिथियों में हिमाचल प्रदेश से अधिवक्ता अमित बैद्य, राजस्थान से अधिवक्ता श्रीमाली और KIIT-DU के अतिरिक्त रजिस्ट्रार डॉ. श्याम सुंदर बेहुरा उपस्थित थे।

एक सुंदर आयोजन में फूलों और रंग की रंगोली ने कार्यक्रम की चमक और उल्लास को बढ़ा दिया था, साथ ही संगीत से पूजा को समर्पित गीत गाए थे। कैंपस 6 में भव्य स्तर पर संध्या अर्घ की पूजा का आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर, छात्रों ने प्रातः अर्घ पूजा का आयोजन किया जो सुबह 4 बजे शुरू हुई। समारोह पिछले दिन की तरह ही जारी रहा और उगते सूर्य को अर्घ दिया गया। इसके साथ ही छठ महापर्व सहित व्रत का समापन हो गया.

This Diwali has brought a lot of happiness and celebration for actress Neha Singh. Actually, her Hindi comedy web series “Aise Kaise Kar Lete Ho” AKKLH is going to be released on Jio Cinema on 20th November 2023, about which she is extremely excited. Neha Singh’s character is quite different in this web series of writer director Pankaj KR Virat, in which she has shown her acting talent.

Neha Singh, a Delhi girl, never dreamed that she would go into the field of acting, although she was very fond of dancing since childhood. During her school days, she had a passion for performing on stage. She obtained a B.Ed degree and was serving as a school teacher. Then she suffered from thyroid disease due to which her weight increased significantly. She started her weight loss journey and lost about 30 kg. During that time someone asked her why don’t you try to face the camera. After that, she never looked back. Gave many auditions and went through a long period of struggle. She also found 90 percent fake people. Many times she was disappointed, but she was not afraid of failure. After a lot of hard work, she gradually started getting projects.

रायगढ़ 7 नवम्बर : भारतीय रेलवे माल गोदाम श्रमिक संघ के महामंत्री व माननीय अभिभावक अरुण कुमार पासवान, राष्ट्रीय प्रभारी मनोरंजन कुमार और राष्ट्रीय संगठन मंत्री दिगंबर प्रसाद मेहता के अथक प्रयास से महाराष्ट्र राज्य के माल गोदाम श्रमिकों के लिए राज्य डिप्टी चीफ लेबर कमिश्नर ने ई- श्रम पोर्टल में डेटा संग्रह करने के लिए राज्य के तीन रेलवे जोन के जीएम को पत्र भेजा है। इससे मुम्बई राज्य के श्रमिकों को मालगोदाम में पंजीकरण किये जाने का रास्ता साफ हो गया है, जो श्रमिक भाइयों के लिए खुशी की बात है। इस उपलक्ष्य में भारतीय रेलवे मालगोदाम श्रमिक संघ के मुम्बई जोन की तरफ से एक दीपावली मिलन समारोह का आयोजन रखा गया है। इस आयोजन का मुख्य उद्देश्य दीपावली मिलन के साथ-साथ डिप्टी चीफ लेबर कमिश्नर द्वारा रेलवे जोन को भेजे गए पत्र के आलोक में श्रमिकों के बीच खुशियों को साझा करना है। यह बाते भारतीय रेलवे माल गोदाम श्रमिक संघ के दक्षिण पूर्व मध्य रेलवे

बिलासपुर जोन के अतिथि हिम बहादुर सोनार ने कही। इसका आयोजन गोखले सभागृह मंगल कार्यालय, ओल्ड पनवेल, रायगढ़ में किया गया। आगे श्री सोनार ने बताया कि इसको लेकर राज्य के डिप्टी चीफ लेबर कमिश्नर ने सेंट्रल रेलवे मुम्बई, वेस्टर्न रेलवे मुम्बई और कोंकण रेलवे नवी मुम्बई को पत्र जारी करते हुए इन रेलवे जोन के विभिन्न माल गोदामों में कार्यरत श्रमिकों को ई-श्रम पोर्टल से जोड़ते हुए डेटा उपलब्ध कराने को कहा है। उनके उक्त आदेश से माल गोदाम के श्रमिकों के लिए गोदाम में पंजीकरण का रास्ता साफ हो गया है। श्रमिकों के लिए संघ ने जो केंद्र सरकार से मांग की थी, उसकी पहली सीढ़ी श्रमिकों ने तय कर ली है। जल्द ही खुशियां भी उन्हें मिलेगी, जिसके लिए भारतीय रेलवे मालगोदाम श्रमिक संघ प्रयासरत है। यह पत्र डिप्टी चीफ लेबर कमिश्नर ने 1 नवंबर 2023 को जारी किया है। इस दौरान भारतीय रेलवे माल गोदाम श्रमिक संघ के आयोजक सेंट्रल रेलवे जोन के अध्यक्ष विशाल विजय भगत तथा जोन के सचिव संतोष अरुण थोरात के साथ जोनल, राज्य, डिवीज़न के सभी पदाधिकारी उपस्थित थे। मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में बिलासपुर जोन के अध्यक्ष हिम बहादुर सोनार मौजूद थे

फिल्मों, टीवी धारावाहिकों और रंगमंच से लंबे समय से जुड़े रहे एक्टर बॉबी वत्स की नई फिल्म “प्यारी तरावली द ट्रू स्टोरी” को दर्शक बहुत पसन्द कर रहे हैं और विशेषकर उनकी शकील खान की भूमिका से लोग बेहद प्रभावित हो रहे हैं। रजनीश दुबे द्वारा निर्देशित फिल्म में प्यारी का रोल डॉली तोमर ने बखूबी निभाया है मगर कहानी में मोड़ उस वक्त आता है जब बॉबी वत्स के किरदार शकील खान की एंट्री होती है। उन्होंने भोपाल के डॉन का चरित्र निभाया है जो इतना पॉवरफुल होने के बावजूद इंसान बहुत अच्छा है।

कुछ लोग कह रहे हैं कि फ़िल्म में एक मुस्लिम किरदार को बहुत अच्छा बताया गया है। इस बारे में बॉबी वत्स कहते हैं कि फ़िल्म एक सच्ची घटना पर आधारित है और शकील खान का किरदार ही कुछ ऐसा है जिसे निर्देशक ने सिल्वर स्क्रीन पर उसी तरह पेश किया है। मुझे इस कैरेक्टर को करने में बहुत मजा आया। भोपाल में इसकी रियल लोकेशन पर शूटिंग का अनुभव भी यादगार रहा।

बॉबी वत्स कहते हैं कि उन्होंने जब भी पर्दे पर मुस्लिम किरदार अदा किया है दर्शकों का भरपूर प्यार मिला है। सोनी टीवी के सुपरहिट शो हिना में मैंने तौकीर का किरदार अदा किया था, उसे भी लोगों ने खूब सराहा था। और अब प्यारी फ़िल्म में शकील खान के कैरेक्टर को लोग पसन्द कर रहे हैं।

बॉबी वत्स का कहना है कि चूंकि वह रंगमंच से लंबे अरसे से जुड़े रहे हैं इसलिए किरदार की तैयारी, उसे पेश करने में वह काफी शिद्दत से मेहनत करते हैं।

The iconic Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, fondly known and remembered as the “Nightingale of India,” has captivated audiences for generations with her melodious voice.

However, there’s more to her extraordinary life than just music.

On 3rd November, a prestigious event held at the Nehru Centers Auditorium in Worli celebrated the multi-faceted talents of Lata Mangeshkar, unveiling her recently launched book, ‘…And She Clicked.’

This exceptional event, which was graced by the presence of distinguished dignitaries and an array of renowned personalities, was a magical evening filled with enchanting tales and breathtaking visuals.

The esteemed Purbayan Chatterjee, accompanied by the brilliant musicians Satyajit Talwalkar and Aarya Shreyasi, provided a mesmerizing musical prelude to the evening, setting the stage for the unveiling of Lata Mangeshkar’s lesser-known passion—photography.

Lata Mangeshkar’s hidden talent as a gifted photographer was revealed through her book, ‘…And She Clicked.’

A diverse gathering of luminaries from the world of music, literature, and cinema, including Usha Mangeshkar, Meena Khadikar, Suresh Wadkar, Rachana Shah, Rhythm Wagholikar, Madhur Bhandarkar, Adinath Mangeshkar, Aashay Wagholikar, Anuja Wagholikar, Shivaji Satam, and Virendra Mahiskar, graced the occasion.

‘…And She Clicked,’ a compilation of photographs taken by Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar over the years, unveils the artist’s profound connection with the world of photography. This book offers a glimpse into nature, architecture, wildlife, and the lives of ordinary Indians, as seen through the lens of the legendary singer.

Mayuresh Pai, the visionary behind this project, expressed his sentiments, “I stand overwhelmed to offer to Lata Didi’s friends and countless admirers this beautiful compilation of photographs, which she clicked down the decades.”

The book’s uniqueness lies in the fact that each photograph was handpicked by Lata Mangeshkar herself, accompanied by evocative captions that tell stories of their own. It also showcases the wide range of cameras she used, from Rolleiflex and Yashica to her mobile phone.

The title of the book, ‘…And She Clicked,’ was suggested by the celebrated writer-lyricist Shri Javed Akhtar, highlighting his special bond with Lata Mangeshkar.

The event was presented by the Aditya Birla Group and Shri. Kumar Mangalam Birla shared a heartfelt note on Lataji, further emphasizing her immense contribution to Indian culture. It is a simplification of many elements relevant to his expression: the feminine curve, an opening, an architectural element, the line that traces a graph or as part of the organic world. The nuances and expressive quality of the curve is explored in printmaking and drawing, and informs all of his work. Arup Das currently teaches in Applied art Dept at Govt. College of Art & Craft, Calcutta.

Arun Paul:  Arun Paul got his BVA & MVA degree in Textile Design from Govt. College of Art & Craft, Calcutta, in the year 1997 and 2000. He also teaches there. His works are mostly composed with various forms and colour patches. Motifs and solid type background contrasting the whole construction of his compositions.

Mrinmoy Das: Mrinmoy Das likes to express all things that have to do with fabric. His passion is fabric dyeing, using natural and commercial dyes and also painting, stamping, screen printing, and also his work is fabric quilting, manipulating along with threads and other embellishment that bring life and contrast to the wall hangings. In his journey, Mrinmoy is practicing as Fiber Artist and presently teaching in Textile Design at Govt College of Art & Craft, Calcutta. He became passionate about studying weaving, dyeing, and printing and embroideries techniques.

Suman Kumar Pal: Graduated from Govt. College of Art & Craft, Calcutta in 1992 and Post Graduated from Rabindra Bharati University in the subject of Painting. Suman Kumar Pal a Contemporary Mural Artist, with various prestigious awards, presently teaching in his own college. His murals depict the suburban culture and its complexities. The Architectural buildings are the prototypes of the diverse mentality with commonalities.

Pradip Mondal: Nature is the main composition of Pradip Mondal’s sculptures. He has BVA and MVA in Modelling and Sculpture from Govt. College of Art & Craft, Calcutta, where he teaches also. His sculptures represent the contouring base lines of nature. The linear metallic compositions are just simple in nature to express the transparency in objects of this phenomenal world.  The lightness of heavy metal compositionally completes the surroundings.

Partha Protim Gayen: Partha’s works are statements about history & our relation with Mother Nature. The connectivity of society & nature is an important core thing of these creations. His environmentally concerned attempt reminds us that contemporary art has a role to play in making sense of the world & doing it by reviving the belief that everything we are accessing or developing, should actually for the betterment of Mother Nature. Completing his BVA and MVA in Modelling and Sculpture from Govt. College of Art & Craft, Calcutta, Partha currently teaches in his own college. He has a MFA in Art History and Aesthetics from  M.S.U. Baroda.

It’s that divine time of the year when not only Bengalis but people across communities eagerly welcome Maa Durga in all her glory and seek her blessings and thank her for whatever she has blessed them with over the previous years. For the past three years Durgotsav has been organised by Aikatan Cultural Association Mumbai and has been the centre of attraction for the worshippers of Maa Durga. The association has been organising Durga Puja at The Country Club which is situated at Veera Desai Road Andheri West.

Notably, the biggest attraction of Durgotsav 2023 is well known music director Pritam Chakroborty, who is also the chief patron of the Durga Puja organised by the Aikatan  Cultural Association Mumbai. He and his family are deeply involved in planning and organising the Puja since its inception.

The association has an amazing musical rendezvous lined up on all the days of Durga Puja (Bollywood singer Anwesshaa on Mahashoshti, leading folk song band Surojit o Bondhura on Mahashtami and Natok by famous group from Kolkata, Parnasree Bohumukhi Cultural Society on Mahanabami). In addition, the members and their children also  showcase their musical talent on Mahasaptami , which is surely going to make the entire event a memorable one.

It is interesting to know that Aikatan Cultural Association Mumbai is not only known to organise the much talked about Durga Puja at The Country Club, but it is also one of those associations which is also deeply involved in the philanthropic work and always ready to help needy people in various forms. Thousands of beneficiaries are testimony to the facts the association has always been at the forefront to help the poorest of poor and marginalised communities.

Somali Sarkar, one of the founding members of Aikatan Cultural Association said “The association strongly believes that there are many in society who would need a helping hand. Our resources are limited but we do our best to help and a portion of our Association’s fund is kept aside to extend financial help to the needy. This year, we have partnered with ‘Artistic Hands’ which is a vocational training centre for children with special needs. The objective is that we work for the empowerment, self-reliance and holistic development of the children.”

Talking about ‘Gram Bangla’ Somali Sarkar said, “This year the theme of our Durga Puja Pandal is Bengal folk art though which we are portraying the rich cultural heritage of Bengal. We are emphasising on ‘Gram Bangla’ which  means rural Bangla which has always been rich in its cultural endeavors. The nostalgia of Bengal folk art is on full display and people visiting the Pandal are just loving it.”

The Puja was inaugurated by none than Swami Satyadevanada, Adhyaksha Of Ramkrishna Math, Mumbai. During the Durga Puja, apart from the common worshippers of Maa Durga, many dignitaries from various walks of life are also gracing the Durga Puja Pandal and getting all the  blessings during the mesmerizing Durgotsav organised by Aikatan Cultural Association Mumbai. Giliyal Jayaram Bhat has been creating art for nearly four decades as industrialist and artist; and his style, approach and zest for the craft has evolved from portraits and landscapes that reflected formal training to intense abstraction of landscapes and moods that depict compositions of uninhibited freedom letting the elements interact within themselves in the pictorial plane, creating balances, imbalances, breathing spaces and a burgeoning of possibilities for viewer involvement and interpretation. The artist seems to effortlessly create ‘industrial poetry’ on surfaces, his works revealing the beauty hidden within the man-made, industrial environments, making us reconsider our perception of landscapes. Jayashri’s works aims to celebrate the diversity, complexity, and resilience of women through the lens of art.
